It's not often Eitou wakes up before dawn.

But when it does, it's usually a very silent affair.

The sun in Namimori is unusually bright and festive in nature, Eitou's not sure why but-- Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that there's a whole shounen manga cast living their daily life arc here.

"..."

Silver slips through the pink curtains -- blood red in the dark -- which might've made Eitou slightly regret keeping the room as pink as it is.

Unlike the daylight, the moonlight does not turn the pale skin red, but instead softly bounces off it to be scattered in the night. In the dark, a few is captured within pitch black iris, and is uncontrollably caged inside.

During the night, absent of light, Eitou silently regrets his choice of colour. But regret is mere thoughts, no actions will be taken. That's simply Eitou's character, work without complain is no work at all. Or so the Asian grandma in his last life said.

Pink, without light, turns nightmare red. Like fresh blood, dried blood, blood.

It's really not a pleasant sight to look at.

Especially after a nightmare.

Thud.

"...?" He silently sits up, immediately catching the tiny noise in his house. It's very low in volume, and if Eitou was not so alert, he's afraid he would've completely missed it.

What's going on? Did Reborn broke in to beat his ass again?

The confused and dazed expression of Eitou immediately hardened into a serious expression.

Did he lose a Vongola style competition again? When? Did he?

As the gardener seriously started doubting his memory, or wondered if he got trauma-induced amnesia, he heard another noise.

The 'usually' part of 'usually a very silent affair' exists because of a particular incident in Yukimura's household. To protect the participant's privacy, the recounting will be told using Person A and Person B.

See, Person B broke into Person A's house, in the middle of the night, and then proceeded to beat the ever living hell out of Person A, for not giving a satisfactory enough birthday gift. Person A, a completely, very much, an innocent bystander, who didn't even know (remember) Person B's birthday, was beaten black and blue into a recreation of Egypt's lauded bandaged mummies.

Or so Eitou heard from the grapevines, and now he (because he's a very cautious individual) now has permanent trauma on hearing noises in the middle of the night while alone in his house. Nothing scares him more than thinking a suited up baby-- Ehem, a potential Person B, to appear in his house.

Thud.

Eitou complete stood up from the safety of his pink bed and walked slowly to his bedroom's door while tightly grasping an air-conditioner remote behind him. Where did he get this? He also doesn't know, he doesn't have an aircond.
