BOOOOOM!
The sound of an explosion shook violently throughout the entire auditorium.
Wada looked both constipated and resigned towards the blasted door. The previously majestic and unshakeable metal had become as strong as a board of wood floating amidst tumultuous ocean waves. What little remains hangs uselessly by the door hinge, the rest having been exiled to God knows where.
The bespectacled youth felt this was simply the most heart attack-inducing scene he had experienced today — which was obviously an unforgivable transgression of thought which the heavens took great offense of, as the very next moment, something more heart attack-inducing appeared in his sight.
Although it's quite dim as the sun had fallen below the horizon a while ago, the magnitude of it all made it quite explosive —
Red.
It's all just red.
Red everywhere.
*Hiccup* — The blonde who had mercilessly told their doll to blast the door open suddenly hiccuped, terror struck across their face. “Ah! AAAAAAHHHH!!! YOUNG MASTER!!!”
The blonde ran inside the room, knees slightly trembling with each accidental step over thin dried streams of red. No, blood.
An alarming amount of blood.
Wada scrunched his nose in nausea, the strong smell of rust burst from the now-open exit. Strange, he and Ryohei had been standing here for almost half an hour. How did the smell not alert them?
“Young Master! Young Master!”
The calls of the anxious blonde had Wada unconsciously following behind the former’s dash. Perhaps this was a secret blessing, as Wada immediately spotted the guy he was searching for, standing silently in the middle of the worst of the red. His right arm raised high, holding something aloft. Something… Humanoid?
Tsuna… No, is that Tsuna?
Wada was stunned; bright orange flames danced wildly on the forehead of the brunette, and the usually gentle chestnut eyes had given way to striking gold. Huh? What happened? Did Sawada undergo a makeover during his absence? Wada swallowed down his out-of-place thoughts and swept his eyes across the entire auditorium.
“..?” Wada paused, and then tilted his head slightly. Odd sounds like the croaking of an old metal hinge whispered over from where Tsuna is. He shook his thoughts away lightly, continuing his observation.
Streaks of blood seemed to have been haphazardly added wherever there was empty space. The brown wooden floor had turned slightly mahogany in colour, the walls became filled with countless meaningless strokes, and even the ceiling had not been spared. Thankfully, the panels of the windows had not been subjected to the same aesthetic, allowing the very dim ray of outside light to enter untinted.
Wada blindly struck the walls of the auditorium with resounding slaps; “Pa! Pa!” — and miraculously hit a switch. Well, one switch. Exactly one.
Like a spotlight on a stage, a small light bulb flickered with great struggle. Shining straight on top of Wada’s head, almost blinding him with the absurd glare reflecting off his glasses. After the initial shock subsided, Wada felt sweat almost immediately run down his back. The bulb of light had conveniently highlighted the situation surrounding his weirdly silent senior, and he wished it hadn't.
Tsuna… no, that person…
Is choking a strikingly familiar person.
“Khuk—uhg—hah!”
