Time eats into reality.

Little by little, eroding what is left recognizable to mortal minds.

This sliver of remembrance is what humans call, ‘history’.

Too bad, human minds are inherently fallible after all.

Jun wonders about the forgotten.

“Thank you.”

The clattering of porcelain plates resounded joyfully within the bounds of homely kitchen walls. A light step skip brings the face of a gentle woman close to his, “No worries! After all, Wada-kun is now the pride and joy of Namimori!”

Two points round, and four gentle. It is no wonder that such a face became adored across the neighborhood — a classic beauty,

Jun's thin lips curled up into an almost-smile, but his natural constitution quickly prevented him from looking happy, instantly turning his almost-smile into a cold heartless smirk, “Thank you, Sawada-san.”

“Oh, you!” Nana happily swatted the boy’s shoulder, another hand flush against her cheeks in embarrassment, “Just call me Nana!”

“... Nana-san.”

“-Pfft—”

“...Senior.”

“Sorry, sorry,” another smiling face enters Jun’s peripheral view. Upturned eyes stare back into Jun’s own dark one, “The champion of the national debate competition should look a little happier! Everyone's raving about you, you're on the news!”

Hair brushing against the back of thin shoulders, tied haphazardly with an almost broken hair tie. Eyebrows drawn with thin careful strokes, and eyes curving into mischievous glints. As petal lips curled upwards into a smile, Jun withdrew his gaze.

Calloused fingers wrap around his wrist, playful lifting it up, “Wasn't this the hand responsible for the final round’s unanimous win? — With a single stroke of black pen, the whip of the government team had sealed their victory! — or so the papers claim.”

Jun swallowed down a curse and simply huffed, "Please unhand me. Senior.”

Yukimura pouted, letting go of Jun's wrist, letting it hit the wooden table with a loud bang. “Mou, at least be a little happy about it! You missed my sickness for this!”

“Is your sickness a scheduled event?”

“It's not a scheduled one, but it is an event,” the fox haughtily justified. Placing a fist on top of Jun’s already disheveled hair. Thanks to the same hand ruffling his hair upon his arrival earlier.

To avoid making the news for a second time, Jun closed his stern eyes and recited the entire National Legal Law — particularly concerning assault and battery, homicide, and torture.

It's very effective.

“Okay, okay, let's get the rest of our diners sorted. It's no good to only have Jun here, what, is he celebrating his own win all alone? That's kinda sad even if it's reflective of him.”

“You do realise I can hear your last sentence?”

“Nana-san, can you call the kids down?”

Nana nodded happily, bringing up pots and pans to the second floor, ready to produce the most heaven-defying song to scare the children downward.

“I’m surprised you call them kids.” Jun lifted his glasses up, preventing it from sliding even more.

Yukimura lifted up one delicate brow in reluctant curiosity, “Why?”
