«"AND WITH THAT, YAMAMOTO HIT A HOOOOME RUNNN!!!"»

"Ugh," The roar of the crowd drowns out Eitou's groan. The back of his hand roughly wiped the edge of his jaw moistened with sweat. "Out of all days, why does it have to be hot today?"

Eitou paused, eyes blinking in confusion. "No. First of all, why is it hot in October?"

"Be grateful that it's warm at all," Wada intercepted beside him. Expressionlessly fanning his face with a piece of cardboard flap. His glasses seemed to fog up slightly from his sweat, and he reluctantly pulled it off his face.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Eitou's feet knock rhythmically on the ground, barely restraining himself from blowing up on the people around him.

Wada's eyes flickered to Eitou's restless feet, and more importantly, his thigh. "How's your injury?"

A pause. The gardener looked at Wada briefly, before looking at his own thigh. A slight thickness is visible under Eitou's tracksuits, a sharp edge visible where the bandage below ends. Even without that observation, the sound of skin rubbing against cloth was wrong in that particular spot, stuffy and shuffly in nature.

Eitou shook his thigh roughly, "A month is more than enough to deal with it. There's only a scar left."

"A wound is still a wound, Young Master!"

Julien butted in from his left. His voice barely audible from beneath yet another collective roar of the crowd. A cute pink headband pushed all of his bangs back revealing his equally sweaty forehead. He leaned forward, avoiding the man behind his seat who was standing up and shadow-boxing the air. "I say, it was too kind for that bastard to be caught by the Vindice. We should have dealt with him right then and there!"

"The Vindice?" Wada raised an eyebrow. "Those bandaged guys?"

Julien blinked in awe, "You... you didn't know who the Vindice even is? And you still got involved in the fight alongside the Vongola!?"

"Fight? I didn't go there to fight, I went there because -" Wada cuts himself off, huffing. "Also, I still don't get what the whole Vongola thing even was. I went back and searched it up that day but all I got was clams."

Julien fell into silence.

His blue eyes tremble in shock, or perhaps in awe, that someone so normal and civilian in any way had gotten tied up in the mess. Not to mention, contributing to Mukuro's discovery and arrest. Suddenly, he jolted up again, "You didn't know the Vindice, nor the Vongola, and you figured out Mukuro's possession trick!?"

Wada rolled his eyes in exasperation, "I still don't get the whole possession bullshit!"

While Julien melted down beside him, Eitou awkwardly coughed into his fist.

"Haha... A month has passed since the incident, and you still..." Eitou threw in a few more sets of chuckles for good measure, "... Don't know anything?"

Wada's deadpanned eyes seem to answer everything.

A shaky exhale escaped Julien's chest, "... So, when we were scuffing on the ground that day... You really were innocent?"

Wada simply stared at him.

".... Goodness." Julien leaned back, just as the man behind him calmed down and seated himself down. "... I cannot believe this kind of absurd comedy could be played in real life, but it turns out I was heavily mistaken."
