It smelled like rusting iron.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

Creak —

‘Scary…’ Tsuna thought to himself, careful not to touch the rust of the metal door. His brown eyes widened slightly at the interior, ‘...An auditorium?’

The setting sun casts a gentle orange hue on the wooden floor. The wooden board creaks with the slightest of pressure, Tsuna thinks be might simply crash all the way down to the ground floor if he stomped his feet the wrong way.

— “I'm very happy that we could meet again.”

“...!”

From afar, Tsuna spotted a figure sitting hunched on a sofa, in the middle of the auditorium’s stage. Slack curtains hide the mono-coloured wall behind the figure. A strike of familiarity ran its course down his spine, “Aahhh!”

“You're here?” Tsuna smiled, a little bit stiff, “Is this where the hostages are kept? You should get out of here fast, ah! Have you seen a —” long-haired man around here?

A shiver forced his hands to shake, “ — young… boy?”

‘Hm?’ Tsuna blinked. ‘That’s odd.’

The hostage smiled at him, “Hm?”

He seemed to consider this for a bit, before tilting his head to the right. The uniquely dark purple strands of hair turn onyx black as it enters the shadows. Though it was not the most complete black that Tsuna had ever witnessed.

The next beat, that unfamiliarly suave voice slid like a well treasured violin bow.

“Please come forward slowly,” The man held the three guests in his eyes, “I would like to take my time to get to know you better.”

Wrong.

Something beneath his skin buzzes.

“—10th boss of Vongola.”

Something is wrong.

“How did you know I'm Vongola?”

Wrong.

Wrong.

Wrong.

Wro—

The buzz stopped.

A hand shot out from behind him, grasping the hem of his sleeve, “You’re mistaken, Tsuna!”

“What am I mistaken on — ” Tsuna choked on his own words, hm? “Bianchi?”

Bianchi glared at the man opposite them, “That is…”

The hostage widened his smile and answered with a cheerful voice, “That's right, I'm the real Rokudo Mukuro.”

“— EHHHHH!?????”

GUROGUROGUROGURO.

The sound of a sliding metal door instantly rang across the auditorium, almost drowning the screech released from the depths of Tsuna's throat. Before he could even make peace with the fact that not only did he mistake the mastermind of the whole scheme as a victim, but was also played stupid by the same person — Tsuna’s eyes shook once more.
