As Sophia stood in the soft embrace of Alexander's arms, she could feel the tension of the day melting away. His steady heartbeat beneath her cheek was like a lullaby, grounding her after the chaos they had endured. She looked up at him, her gaze locking with his, and saw something deeper in his eyes—something that made her pulse quicken. There was a storm brewing behind his calm demeanor, and in that moment, she wanted to get lost in it.

Without a word, Alexander lowered his head and pressed his lips to hers, gentle at first, as though testing the waters. But as soon as he felt her respond, the kiss deepened, growing more fervent, more intense. His hands found their way to her waist, pulling her closer, and she wound her arms around his neck, losing herself in the feel of him.

He groaned softly, breaking the kiss to trail his lips down her jawline, his breath hot against her skin. Sophia’s heart pounded in her chest as his mouth moved to the sensitive spot just beneath her ear, sending shivers down her spine.

"Alexander..." she whispered, her voice barely audible, but he heard it—her plea for more, her desire for him.

He responded by lifting her effortlessly into his arms, his lips finding hers again as he carried her toward his room. Sophia’s pulse raced as she wrapped her legs around his waist, her body pressing against his in a way that ignited a fire between them.

By the time they reached his bedroom, the air between them was thick with longing. He set her down gently on the bed, his eyes dark with desire as he hovered over her. His hands, strong yet tender, caressed her body, slowly moving downward as his lips followed. Sophia gasped, her breath hitching as he kissed her neck, her collarbone, and lower still, his hands exploring every inch of her.

Just as the moment grew more intense, a voice echoed from downstairs, shattering the heated silence.

"Sophia? Are you up there?"

It was her mother, Catherine. The sound jolted them both out of their trance. Alexander stopped abruptly, his forehead resting against hers as they both struggled to catch their breath. Sophia’s face flushed a deep shade of red, and she bit her lip, embarrassed by how quickly she had been swept away in the moment.

"I—uh, I should go," she said, pushing herself up as she straightened her clothes.

Alexander groaned softly in frustration, his hand lingering on her waist. "Your timing, Catherine," he muttered under his breath, a wry smile tugging at his lips.

Sophia stifled a laugh as she slipped off the bed, her cheeks still burning. "I'll be right back," she promised before leaving the room, her legs still wobbly from their interrupted passion.

When she reached downstairs, her mother was standing in the living room, looking expectantly at her. Catherine’s eyes narrowed slightly as she took in her daughter’s disheveled appearance. Sophia's face turned an even deeper shade of red as she tried to act normal, but she wasn’t fooling anyone.

"Mom," Sophia greeted awkwardly, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Catherine raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing at the corners of her mouth. "What were you doing up there, sweetheart?"

"Nothing!" Sophia blurted out, far too quickly.

"Uh-huh," Catherine said, her smile widening as she leaned in a little closer. "I’m sorry I interrupted... whatever *nothing* was."

Sophia’s face flushed even more, and she looked away, unable to hide her embarrassment. "Mom!" she groaned, but there was no hiding the truth now.

Catherine chuckled, clearly amused. "I’ll make sure to knock next time. I’m not trying to stop you from having fun. But... maybe just keep the door locked."

Sophia covered her face with her hands, mortified. "Please stop," she mumbled, wishing she could disappear.

"Alright, alright," Catherine said, laughing softly. "But in all seriousness, I wanted to talk to you. I’ve been thinking... I don’t want to impose on you and Alexander any longer. Ethan and I should move back to the apartment."

Sophia’s embarrassment faded as she looked up, her brows furrowing in concern. "Mom, no. It’s not safe yet. Gerald might be in custody, but we don’t know what he could still be planning."

"I know," Catherine said, her expression softening. "But I don’t want to be a burden, sweetheart. You and Alexander need your space, and Ethan and I will be fine."

Before Sophia could argue further, Alexander appeared at the top of the stairs, his hair damp from a quick cold shower, his face still a little flushed from earlier. He joined them in the living room, his usual calm, composed self once again.

"Moving back to the apartment is out of the question," Alexander said firmly, his gaze shifting between Catherine and Sophia. "You’re staying close, at least until Gerald is behind bars for good. I won’t risk anything happening to you or Ethan."

Catherine opened her mouth to protest, but Alexander raised a hand. "I understand your concern about imposing, but you won’t be living here forever. I’ve already made arrangements for a villa nearby. It’s in the same neighborhood, secure, and close enough that I can keep an eye on things."

Catherine looked surprised, then touched. "Alexander, that’s very generous of you, but—"

"It’s for your safety," he interrupted gently. "And for my peace of mind. Plus..." He glanced at Sophia, his eyes glinting with mischief. "I think having your own space will be better for everyone."

Sophia felt her cheeks heat up again, knowing exactly what he meant. Catherine’s smile turned knowing, and she let out a soft laugh.

"Alright," she said, giving in. "Thank you, Alexander. I appreciate it. Ethan is going to be thrilled."

The arrangements were made quickly, and by the next day, Sophia helped her mother and brother move into the new villa. The house was beautiful—spacious and luxurious, with plenty of room for Ethan to run around and play. He was beyond excited, exploring every corner of the house with wide-eyed wonder.

As Sophia watched him, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. The villa was perfect, and most importantly, it was safe. Alexander had spared no expense in ensuring that her family was well-protected. And while she was grateful for the security, a part of her couldn’t help but smile at the fact that Alexander had subtly orchestrated this move to keep their time together more private.

Later that evening, when she returned home, Alexander was waiting for her. He pulled her into his arms the moment she walked through the door, pressing a soft kiss to her temple.

"Everything settled?" he asked.

Sophia nodded, leaning into his embrace. "Yes. Ethan’s already treating the place like a playground."

Alexander chuckled. "Good. Now, finally... we have the house to ourselves."

His lips brushed against hers, and Sophia smiled against his mouth, her heart fluttering at the promise of more moments like this—moments where they could finally be alone, without interruptions.

Alexander wasted no time. The moment Sophia stepped back into the room, his arms were around her, pulling her close. His lips found hers in an instant, the kiss more intense than before. There was a hunger in the way he kissed her, as if he were determined to make up for the earlier interruption. His hands roamed her body with a sense of urgency, each touch setting her skin on fire.

Sophia responded eagerly, her arms wrapping around his neck as she pressed her body against his. She could feel the heat between them building, the passion that had been simmering all day now threatening to boil over.

Without breaking the kiss, Alexander scooped her up into his arms again, carrying her effortlessly towards his bedroom. His lips never left hers as he laid her gently on the bed, his body hovering over hers. His hands began their slow descent, tracing every curve, every soft inch of her. His lips followed, kissing her neck, her collarbone, moving downward with agonizing slowness.

Sophia gasped softly, her breath coming in shallow bursts as his lips continued their exploration. He was teasing her, taking his time, savoring every moment. And she was completely lost in him.
