Bill's POV

For the second week in a row, I sat and watched the Mystery Shack. I kept seeing Shooting Star and Pine Tree come out, laughing, carrying that...that journal. I would watch them intensely, trying to pick out each detail carefully. I had something to protect now, now that she was in Gravity Falls with me now. Darn kid. She had to find out what was beyond the Dream Scape. I sat upon the branch of a pine-tree and saw Shooting Star open the door and let Pine Tree run out.

Pine Tree turned to Shooting Star. "Man...I hate Gruncle Stan. Won't let us stay inside, because he has tourists..."

Shooting Star shrugged. "Maybe he just thinks that-"

"That what? That we're gonna ruin the tours?" Pine Tree sighed. "It's to hot out anyway."

Shooting Star sighed too. "Yeah...I know. Let's get into the shade."

The twins ran into the forest, under my tree, in her direction. I bolted off the branch and followed them. They were running pretty fast, like they were trying to escape the Mystery Shack. They were getting closer to where she was. I wanted to grab them and burn them into ashes, but I knew I couldn't. As much as I hated admitting it, I did have limits.

They finally stopped and chatted a bit in the cool shade of the forest. My forest.

I looked up a little ways ahead and I could almost see her. They were so close. I watched them carefully and they didn't move from that spot, so I assumed they were going to stay there. I sat on the branch and played with the fire in my hands. Being stuck in the Dream Scape was bad enough, being stuck having to stalk two twelve year old twins was worse.

I looked back down after about ten minutes to check if they were still there. I gasped as I saw they were gone. I flew around frantically and zoomed back to the Mystery Shack. I quickly peeked into their window and saw them sitting in there, playing mini golf.

I let out a long sigh. They couldn't find her. I couldn't let them, she was too young to be trapped or hide herself yet. She had to wait a couple more years to be able to hide in reality. I had to protect her. Whatever happened, I wouldn't let anyone harm my daughter.

So a lot of people are getting people are getting this story confused with another one of mine, The Beginning. This has no relation to that story, this is just another idea I had and wanted to make book about XD I'm so sorry about all the confusion!
