Bree's POV

The next morning I bolted out of bed, trying my best to avoid Carson. I couldn't believe all this time I had been in love with Carson. Dipper had reminded me of Carson, the kid I rescued and I had somehow fallen into the idea I liked Dipper, not Carson. It was Carson all along! And after I just accepted to be Dipper's girlfriend too...it just seemed to be going downhill from here.

Carson had slept at the edge of Mabel's bed again so I made sure not eye contact was made. Dipper seemed to be in a joyful mood, and I knew why. I raced down the stairs and into the kitchen. Dipper decided to serve out bowls of cereal (they weren't better than Carson's pancakes of course) and I stuffed food into my mouth so I wouldn't have to speak.

Carson kept staring at me as I ate, either confused or just stalker-ish. Once I had finished, I had nothing left to stop me from talking. Dipper smiled a big smile at me and I smiled reluctantly back. Mabel giggled at the both of us. "Dree..." She whispered our ship name and I blushed along with Dipper.

Carson suddenly seemed to wake up. His eyes widened and a mask of horror shrouded over him. He knew. Of course he knew. He always knew. I felt guilt swamp over me.  Carson looked at me quickly in shock, but I didn't meet his gaze. I got up and put my bowl by the sink and Carson immediately stood up.

"Bree, it's time to train." He said.

I didn't bother fighting back, I just nodded and walked out without saying good bye. Carson decided to take us to another different location. We ended up walking for a while through the trees when we ended standing on a precipice. I over looked the Gravity Falls lake, where I had lied Dipper and Mabel were going to Bill. I smiled down at the silver lake and the sun turning the sky watery blue.

Carson sighed and leaned his back against a tree trunk. "You like it here?" He asked.

I shrugged. "Yeah, I do...it's beautiful..."

"I think so too." He walked up beside me as he gazed down at the empty lake. No boats floated on the surface today.  He stood beside me silently. "Bree...have you thought of your answer?" Carson said.

I sighed. "Dammit Carson, stop asking me that. I don't know."

Carson actually chuckled. "Ok, sorry." He shook his head in amusement and I couldn't help, but laugh. "I just can't imagine you disappearing again." His voice was full of sorrow.

"I won't." I promised.

Carson looked to me directly. "Bree, you have to understand that I won't be able to live if you just left. I spent so much time searching for you and now you're here."

I blushed. "Um, oh..." I smiled at him in embarrassment.

Carson had gone silent and stared at the lake. His green eyes reflected the shining water. His dark brown hair dangled slightly in front of his eyes. His jawline was tense and set, but his eyebrows were relaxed, not furrowed.

"Carson-"

He suddenly grabbed my shoulders and kissed me. I gasped in shock, but then slowly melted and kissed him back. I wrapped my arms around him and he pulled me closer. I didn't want to let go, I didn't want to leave him...I would stay...I would-

He pulled away, his eyes round and soft in happiness. A small smile spread across his face. I smiled back, barely able to contain my elated emotions.

"So about training?" He whispered as he held me close.

"Forget about it." I whispered and laughed and leaned into him.
