Bree's POV
I sulked out on the dirt road. Why did Dipper have to do that...? He made me so mad at him and I didn't like being mad, because it was one thing still living as a Dream Demon inside of me. Maybe if I acted even more human I could become human...I could already see my reflection, kind of. I understood this love...kind of. I knew pain- I flinched as the image of Mabel's blood flashed in front of me. I felt sickness rack through me. It wasn't pain, just sickness.
I groaned quietly as I walked. Hopefully Bill wouldn't find me, then again, I looked completely human so how could he find me? I held my hands to my stomach as the sickness grew stronger. I kept on seeing Mabel's blood...blood. I shook my head as my vision blurred. I needed to get back, something was wrong, something Dream Demon or human related was wrong and the only person who knew about strange occurrences was Dipper.
I turned around and began stumbling home. The world was swaying around. My feet slipped on the ground. I tried to hover, but I would fall back down. The ground, trees and sky were blurring together. I needed to make it back. I could barely see now. The world was disappearing. I saw a figure walking towards me.
"Dipper..." I managed to croak out before I slipped and fell into darkness.
Dipper's POV
I came back down stairs and saw Mabel sitting on the couch watching Dream Boy High. I laughed and snatched the remote.
"Can we watch something else?" I asked as I dangled the remote in front of her.
"Hey! No fair Dipper! I was watching TV first!"
"Well, I want to watch something too!" I exclaimed and yanked the remote away as Mabel lunged for it.
Mabel flopped back on the chair. "Have you seen Bree? It's getting late, soon it'll be dark..." Her voice sounded worried.
Mabel was right, she was gone for a long time and the sun was setting. Bree still hadn't returned. I felt fear creep into my bones. "No...I haven't seen her." I sat down next to Mabel. "What if she left to be with Bill again?"
"No." Mabel answered as soon as I finished my sentence. "She wouldn't, she hates being a Dream Demon, remember?"
I sighed. "Then where is she?" I asked.
"Last time I saw her she said she was going for a walk, but...something's not right." Mabel whispered.
I looked down at my vest where my journal was. "Something bad?" I asked.
"Yeah..." Mabel turned off the TV. "Should we go look for her?"
I stood up. "Yes, we should, something is wrong."
Mabel stood up and was about to slip her shoes on when the door flung open. Mabel and I both jumped in surprise and looked up to see who was there.
Bree stood in the doorway with a haunted look in her eyes. Red blood stained her clothes, her hands and her mouth. It was too late...
