Bree's POV
I was starting to get concerned of what would happen in California. In a week I would leave Gravity Falls, forever, and then what? Dipper told me that I would most likely be a fast learner and soon take on the knowledge of Bill, which was practically everything. Dipper also told me that if that happened, I'd be an A++ student at school, though I didn't know exactly what he meant by that. Dipper seemed to get excited when he talked about school, like he liked it or something. He would talk a lot about science and math with me and explain everything he knew.
Dipper had secretly told me that the day they return home from Gravity Falls is his and Mabel's birthday's so they'd be thirteen. He seemed excited about being a tween as well. He would talk about school then his parents and how they'd love having me as a daughter and then he just-
"They'll surely love you..." He trailed off. "Um...yeah, I'll be right back."
He was starting to always leave when the subject of me being in the family popped up. He would seem so happy and then his eyes would darken and then he'd get up and walk away. Maybe he was still sad about leaving Gravity Falls? Who knows?
Dipper stood up from the bed and left the room. I sat in silence, for it had happened again. I wasn't really paying attention to Mabel in front of me on her bed, I was just thinking.
"Is something wrong?" She asked and it jolted me out of day dreaming.
"Hu? Oh, yeah, I'm fine..." I sighed and looked at the door Dipper had walked out of.
"Are you really?" She pressed.
"No, I guess. Just, Dipper seems to be so sad about returning or something like that. When ever he talks about me coming with him he just...leaves..." I looked up at Mabel.
Mabel looked suddenly tense and she rubbed the back of her head. "Oh, um, I don't know why..."
I squinted at her. She was hiding something. "Why are you lying?"
"What?! No I'm not! He might just be sad about leaving Gravity Falls like you said. He really loves it here." She then clamped her mouth shut and waited for me to speak.
"Are you sure it's that?"
"Positive!" She responded almost too brightly.
I nodded slowly. I'll let this one slide, but I'd be asking questions later. "Ok." I said. I looked over at the door again, half expecting Dipper to come back up the stairs just then.
But he never did...
Dipper's POV
I just needed some air, just to walk around, but it all went horribly wrong.
"Please! I swear I won't tell!" I choked out as the figure squeezed my neck tightly.
"Uh, uh, uh. I don't think so..." They said.
"PLEASE! I didn't do anything wrong!" I cried as tears ran down my face.
"Oh, but you did. You did everything wrong Pine Tree."
Sorry for the short chapter :P
