I wake to warm bed.

Kakashi is still asleep next to me. I close my eyes and try to return to my slumber.

He wakes up about an hour later and kisses my face to wake me up.

I pull him closer and bask in the warmth and affection.

"I love you." I say quietly into his shoulder.

"I love you Akari." He replies back.

I sit up and sigh missing the warmth already.

"What are you doing today?" He asks still laying down.

"I... I have to talk to lady hokage." I say.

"You?" I ask turning to look at him once he manages to pull me back over to him.

"This. I want this." He says wrapping his arms around me.

I'm laying on his chest and he is holding me round my waist.

"All day?" I question.

"All day." He answers.

I laugh.

"I meant to tell you Shikaku invited us over for dinner this week." I say then yawn.

"Hmm that's kind of him." He says.

"Why do you have to talk to lady Tsunade?" He asks.

I sit up and hold his face in my hands.

"It's hard to explain— but I'm to believe they will interrogate me. And when they do they'll become more afraid of me.
I don't know what will happen." I say.

"How do you know all this?" He asks his voice filled with worry.

"I—I'm not crazy. Okay? I'm telling you the truth." I say.

He nods.

"Itachi told me. And there's a rumor going around that I'm a spy. Which I'm not. But that that's why I haven't been approved to the program." I say.

"Itachi Uchiha?" He asks.

"Yes." I say.

He doesn't say anything, just starring off at the wall behind me.

"So why then go to the hokage?" He finally says.

"My only options are to leave or to accept the interrogation. And waiting will just make me look more suspicious." I say.

"I want to go with you." He says.

"Kakashi—"

"I want to. I can't let you do this alone." He says squeezing my hands.

"Kakashi I've done terrible things. My time that I was with Orochimaru I liked him. How will that look to them? My time when I was in the tournament, both times." I say, my voice wavering.

"I know." He says.

"When I was with Anko and Lady hokage in the hospital testing my leg... I saw how much it hurt you." I say.

"I know." He repeats, nodding his head.

"What if I hurt someone?" I say.

"Akari. You can't think of that. Just—just be with me. And whatever they have to do just be honest." He says.

"Alright?" He says kissing my face.

...

"Enter!" I hear the strong voice of the hokage.
