(for those of you confused, Act Two is going to take place during the timeline of The Coffee Shop)

Emily was late.

She isn't always late. In fact, most of the times, Emily is usually always one of the first people to arrive.

But today, she is late.

Since she woke up this morning, absolutely nothing is going her way. First she overslept through her alarm by a hour, which made her scrap her daily morning run and instead quickly fish through her breakfast and pack. She knows she should have packed last night but Emily had figured she would have enough time this morning to do so.

Clearly she was wrong.

Then her grandmother had tripped down the stairs and despite running behind her on schedule, Emily went and helped her grandmother out, booking a cab for her, packing a bag to take to the hospital and then made sure her grandmother safely reached the clinic to make sure her foot is all right.

After all, she cannot just leave her grandmother lying there, can she?

Then her local bus to the station got stuck in traffic and by the time Emily pulls in with her suitcase and duffel bag in tow, the bus which would have taken her to Sebong just pulled away right in front of her eyes.

"No! No! Wait! WAIT!" Emily yelled, not minding the fact she is attracting a lot of attention to herself.

Her ticket to get to University just departed, she has other worries on her mind,

Despite her yelling, however, the bus pulled away completley, seemingly not being able to hear her.

"Shit," Emily swore to herself. She normally isn't one to swear, due to force of habit, but even she has her exceptions.

She let her duffel bag fall from her hand and ran her hands through her hair, groaning. Standing there for a couple of minutes and letting the reality sink in, she slowly bent down to pick up her duffel bag, starting to slowly get aware of the fact she probably has attracted onlookers attention.

It's fine, she told herself.

So what if she missed her bus. There is another four hours later. She will just reach her dorm late and will probably just have to unpack after her classes tomorrow. As she pulls out her phone to text Soyeon she is going to be late, Emily can already imagine what her roommate and friend is going to say. Soyeon had indeed told her to come a day earlier, not half a day before classes begin, but Emily had brushed it off. Mostly because Soyeon is very messy and takes time to unpack and settle while Emily is minimalistic and efficient.

Emily still remembers the first time she met Soyeon. They had been assigned as roommates and had never met each other, only exchanged a few texts on instagram after Soyeon had apparently stalked her down. Emily had already arrived at the dorms and had even finished unpacking when their dorm room door had blasted open and in came a short girl with three suitcases and two duffel bags in her hands, panting heavily as she stopped in the doorway to catch her breath.

She had stared at Soyeon, dumbfounded, and it wasn't until a few minutes had passed and Soyeon had to say, "Well, aren't you going to help me?" that Emily moved.

A year later, she is still getting used Soyeon's heavy bursts of energy.

Emily walks back inside the bus terminal and towards the ticket counter, walking up to a free counter.

"Excuse me?"

Emily pauses. She isn't the only one who just spoke.

Emily looks to her side as she realizes there is someone standing next to her, someone slightly more taller than her, a more masculine fit, with short blonde hair with side bangs that reach just the top of his eyebrows, dressed in all black with a thick padded jacket on top.
