Trigger Warning: Adultery, Suicide mentions

Joo-hyuck and Emily walk side by side a couple of blocks away from the neighborhood Emily lives in. Emily left her home with only her phone in her hand but Joo-hyuck had insisted on leaving with all of his items in hand, making Emily realize that he probably is not planning on staying.

"You should have texted me before you came," Emily said, trying to start some sort of conversation.

"Why? So you could have had more time frolicking around with your ex?" Joo-hyuck's voice came out all bitter and Emily winced without even realizing.

Joo-hyuck sighed and said, " Sorry...I should not have said that. That wasn't what I meant."

"I wasn't frolicking around with him. Jeonghan's grandmother happens to live in Ilsan as well. I just ran into him," Emily said, "Also, I doubt you came here to argue with me over Jeonghan."

Joo-hyuck, sensing the topic shift within Emily, said, "No. no. I didn't."

"Great."

"I-..." Joo-hyuck sighed, trying to figure out where to start from, "Yejune is not going to swim at the competition anymore."

Emily was silent for a moment before saying, "I figured."

"I suppose you got what you wanted then," Joo-hyuck said, finding himself starting to get irritated no matter how hard he tried not to.

Emily stopped in her path. They are standing in front of a park and given the odd time of the afternoon, no one was really around her. Besides, the clouds threatened heavy rain any time.

"Actually, yes. Yes, I did get what I want. Equality," Emily said, crossing her arms across her chest.

"You know, I didn't take you to be petty," Joo-hyuck said.

"Petty?" Emily practically spat at the word, "Petty? Are you being serious right now? You know what, I didn't take you to be such a moron."

"Emil-"

"No. You're upset that I was just simply talking to my ex because I ran into him, but what about you? We both know Yejune is clearly not over you. We both also know one of the reasons she hates me so much is because we're dating, and yet you support her over me," Emily accuses.

"There is absolutely nothing going on between me and Yejune," Joo-hyuck said.

"Are you sure she knows that? Because it certainly doesn't seem like that to her," Emily said.

"And for supporting her, do you really expect me support another University over mine?" Joo-hyuck.

"Oh please," Emily said, "This has nothing to do about supporting University teams. You know that too. This has to do with how Yejune manages to evade punishments time after time again and how everyone has allowed her to get away with everything. It is simply not  fair and not okay. I've been dealing with her shit for over a year and honestly I'm done now. I've reached my limit."

Joo-hyuck just breathed heavily and looked away. It seems that he has a lot of things he wants to say but is stopping himself from saying anything.

"Tell me, what I've done, is it really that wrong?" Emily asked, this time more calmly as she took a step closer to him.

"You've seen the way she treats me. You were there that day at the coffee shop. She instigated that fight. She chose violence first. And yet I got punished for it as well," Emily said, "So tell me, am I really that wrong? For wanting to make sure she gets punished as well."
