By the time the bus rolls up around Sebong University, half of the the bus has emptied out as Sebong University is one of the final stops on the way to its destination.
Emily got off the bus, her steps sluggish and slow, a side effect from the deep sleep she took on the bus, By now the sky has gone pitch black with the only lights emitting coming from the street lamps.
She walks towards the side of the bus, where the driver would unload her suitcase form the luggage compartment, and saw Jeonghan standing there as well. Since there are only four people in total getting off at Sebong University, there is not a crowd around the luggage compartment and Jeonghan glances up when he notices Emily and then goes back to his phone.
Emily supposes she isn't completely wrong. He really must not remember her at all or probably just assumes she is another random student.
Retrieving her luggage from the driver, Emily starts walking down to her dorm. Her dorm is a ten minute walk from the bus stop, not too far but slightly inconvenient when you are dragging a double XL suitcase and two duffel bags across the pavement with you. Upon finally reaching her dorm room, Emily first went in a greeted her dorm mother, signing in her name on the check-in paper and getting the keys to her room and the dorm's main door.
As much as she likes the recently built Maple Dorm, it is unfortunately located at the furthest possible location from the main campus, making her watch twice as much. The dorm also, inconveniently, has no elevator which means Emily has to tug up all of her luggage three floors up the stairs. By the time she reaches the top of the stairs, Emily is huffing and puffing, all tired and exhausted from the physical workout she just had.
After catching her breath, Emily began to walk towards her dorm room, walking slowly as she searched for her room number, saying hello to any of the girls she met on her way. The good thing about the dorm rules in Sebong was that if you have been previously living in the dorms, you are highly likely to be assigned to the same dorm, which meant all the people living inside are familiar.
Finally finding her room, Emily opens the door and walks inside.
She hears laughter and chatter from inside and then sees Jia sitting near the doorway with Soyeon presumably further inside.
"Oh-you're finally here," Jia says upon seeing Emily, getting up from her seat to help Emily with her luggage.
"Hi" Emily said, letting Jia take the suitcase away from her hands as she takes off her suitcase.
Emily is not surprised to find Jia inside. In fact, she had been more likely to be surprised had Jia not had been inside already. She has known since day one that Soyeon and Jia are the bestest of friends, to the point they seem like soulmates, and will always be closer to each other than to anyone else. Emily also knows that if she had not been assigned to be Soyeon's roommate last year, she most likely would not have been friends with these girls. It isn't that she does not get along with them, but more to do with the fact that Emily is so shy and quiet, she barely speaks up.
"You finally made it huh," Soyeon said, lazing around on her bed.
"I did," Emily said, also thanking Jia as she lifted Emily's suitcase and placed it on the bare bed for Emily to open, who did not waste a second and immediately began to unpack.
"You really live the most minimal life," Jia commented, taking in the small number of clothes Emily had brought with her and the amount of swimsuits she had brought.
Emily clears her throat, taking in her already folded clothes and putting it in her closet drawer.
"Oh," Emily said, suddenly noticing something in the room, "You actually got it."
