Emily turned around to stare in shock.
"Joo-hyuck?" Emily spoke, her voice very clearly a mixture of surprise and shock.
However if Emily was shocked, then Jeonghan was very shocked.
"Nam fucking Joo-hyuck," He mumbled under his breath, low enough that no one heard him, "Of course."
"Joo-hyuck," Emily repeated, taking a step towards him.
"Hi Emily," Joo-hyuck said, a strained smile on his face.
"What are you doing here?" Emily asks, close enough that she didn't have to raise her voice to be heard anymore.
Joo-hyuck shifted his weight from one foot to another and said, "I came to see you."
"Me?" Emily asks, pointing at herself, "But...how?"
"I texted your friend for you friend?" Joo-hyuck revealed.
"My friend? Which one?" Emily asked, confused.
"The tall one. With the very long hair and big eyes. She follows me on instagram so I texted her there," Joo-hyuck explained and Emily immediately identified Jia. She probably thought she was doing Emily a favor. Not that Emily was actually upset. She is very glad to see Joo-hyuck here. Especially after how their last conversation ended, they really need to talk. In fact she's happy Joo-hyuck has taken initiative to do such.
With Jeonghan...well...he never let it reach that deep.
"I-...we-...I think we shoul-"
"Are you hungry?" Emily cut him off. She knows what Joo-hyuck is going to say next but she wants to just savor this sweet moment a bit longer. "You could come to my place and have lunch," Emily offered.
Joo-hyuck raised his eyebrow and said, "Are you sure that's okay?"
Emily nods her head vigorously and said, "My grandmother cook a lot. It'll be fine. Besides it looks like its going to rain soon."
True enough, the sky is sporting some very angry looking grey clouds.
"Okay," Joo-hyuck quickly agreed. He too is tired and hungry from the long journey from Seoul and wouldn't mind getting some energy in him first.
Emily smiled and reached over to take his hand in her, entwining their fingers together. Joo-hyuck is about to lean in to hug her but he suddenly stops, his eyes darting behind her. Emily follows his gaze, turning her head around, only to see Jeonghan standing in the exact same place she had left him, staring at t two without blinking once.
She had completely forgotten about Jeonghan. Now that she is once again reminded of him again, Emily feels her heart race faster and didn't want to engage in any skin-ship in front of Jeonghan. She just isn't as comfortable with public displays of affection like Joo-hyuck is and she certainly is comfortable doing PDA in front of her ex.
"Uhhh..." Emily tried to find her thoughts but was unable to find anything.
Emily is suddenly filled with a feeling that today is going to be a very long day.

"How are you liking the food?" Emily's grandmother asks, watching with fond eyes.
"It's very good halmeoni," Joo-hyuck said, looking up from his bowl to give her grandmother his million dollar smile.
"And what about you, son?" Her grandmother asks to the person sitting at the right of Emily.
