Love, Betray & Crash (Jeonghan)

"Oh my god, did you hear?" Sana Minatozaki whispers into Emily's ear. 

Emily looks at her, wondering whatever she could say next and shook her head, "No? What is it?"

"Apparently Yoon Jeonghan hooked up with Joy over the spring break and then as soon as she asked to make things official, he dumped her!" Sana whispered rather aggressively. 

Emily looks over at Jeonghan, who is occupying the lab counter two rows in front of her. 

"Really?" Emily asks as Sana nods her head in all sincerity, "How did you hear?" 

"Lisa told me. You know her word is true as law," Sana said. 

Sana Minatozaki is Emily's lab parter for their Inorganic Chemistry course and also the only other person she is somewhat friends with outside of Soyeon, Jia and Nana. Emily also happens to share the courses Biology as well as Statistics 201 with Sana, which is why Emily is so familiar with the former girl. However Emily doubts Sana views her in the same way. Sana is extremely extroverted and talkative and has so many friends that Emily would probably never have in a lifetime. Yet Emily is grateful that Sana decided to take pity on Emily and ask her to be her lab partner in their freshmen year of University or else Emily would be spending nearly all of her classes as a longer right now. 

Emily diverts her attention back towards their lab work and said, "Who names their kid Joy, by the way?"

"Apparently its a name she gave herself. Because she's always smiling," Sana explains. Well, that is true. Joy is quite literally always joyful. Emily only knows her from their shared statistics class and she has never quite literally seen Joy without a smile before. 

"But why would Joy go out with Jeonghan?" Emily wondered, not realizing she is speaking her thoughts. 

"Why not?" Sana shrugs her shoulders, "Jeonghan is handsome, smart, clever, rich, athletic, and he is a cold and cunning boy. It's like making a deal with devil. Makes him even more attractive."

"I wouldn't want to make a deal with the devil," Emily mumbles and Sana sighs exactly how a parent sighs when telling their kid to stop messing around. 

"It's not literal Emily," Sana says, "It's more like...like enemies to lovers. Like bad boy turned good. Like jocks falling in love with the quite nerd girl. Actually wait-that one applies more to Seungcheol. Hmm...like the guy who is emotionally available falling in love!" 

"Stuff like that only happens in movies," Emily comments. 

"Yeah but that does not mean it can't happen in real life," Sana says, "I mean, just look at Seungcheol. Streets are saying that he was seen lending his jacket to Jia at the party last week. And then the two were even talking to each other at the library the other day. It seems like Jia did end up succeeding in getting his attention. Though I'm pretty sure you've already heard all the details from her."

Emily shots Sana a sharp look with a frown. This is the first Emily is even hearing of the story, if  it is even true, but if it is true, she definitely would have liked to hear it directly from Jia. 

"What party?" Emily asks and Sana looks up from her lab work and narrows her eyes at Emily ever so slightly, as if studying her expressions. 

"The party last Friday?" Sana said. 

"I was in Busan last Friday. Swimming," Emily explains, still feeling bummed out on the fact that she is hearing infromation on her friend from someone who is not really her friend. 

"Oh...well I'm sure it is not a big deal. Otherwise Jia must have told you about it," Sana says, "In fact, seeing how you don't know about it. Maybe this never even happened. After all, it was a party and everyone was drunk. Someone probably got mistaken."
