Jeonghan's POV

Jeonghan is typically a very level headed guy. His head has always been louder than his heart and his logic has always been more stronger than his emotions.

So when we was in sixth grade and he walked into his father halfway through undressing his six homeroom teacher, Jeonghan didn't get angry and yell, instead he told his father to pack up his bags and leave and his mom to divorce his father and take alimony and move on. But of course, his mother got stuck with her emotions decided to go for revenge instead.

Jeonghan, on the other hand, doesn't have time for emotions.

He knows when he is supposed to display emotions and when he has play certain parts, whether it is for society, whether it is to let his professor give him an extension or even to get a girl to sleep with him, Jeonghan plays it perfectly.

Of course, he is a man and at the end of the day, he definitely has his own manly wants. It would be a lie to say that no woman has ever caught his attention and even a bigger lie to say he has never been interested in anyone. However, Jeonghan has never been infatuated with anyone before. His interests normally last anywhere between three weeks to two months.

Therefore when he started to look forward to seeing Emily in class everyday or looking forward working with her in the library, he initially couldn't understand why. Sure, she is pretty, but definitely not the prettiest girl in the room, and sure she is interesting, but in a more quirky and weird way.

After all, it is not everyday that you meet a timid girl who gets excited at the thought sharks biting each other to mate.

Jeonghan has had plenty of endeavors with numerous girls but none have left him this infatuated with them.

So he decided, logically of course, that the best way to get over this infatuation and curiosity over Emily would be to kiss her. That way he would have satisfied the curiosity churring in his stomach and he would be able to move on away from her.

Unfortunately for Jeonghan, it turned out that kissing her did absolutely nothing to satisfy him and rather just left him with even a deeper feeling of longing.

He lay on his bed, face facing the ceiling with one arm underneath his head as he stared straight ahead, in deep thought.

Hmm...well...he supposes it wouldn't hurt anyone to keep this going on for a little bit longer. Jeonghan would have his fun and Emily, well Emily would get her story. Besides, Jeonghan doubts she has ever even had a real relationship, perhaps this might be her first real break. Now that he thinks of it, Jeonghan has never dated an athlete before. Perhaps this will be an interesting experience for him as well.

Jeonghan's phone buzzed on the side table and he ignored it but when it buzzed again, he let out a sigh and picked up the phone, noticing he has two notifications; one from is dad and one from Joy.

He decided to ignore the both and let out a deep sigh again.

Seeing Joy's text message just reminded him of all the reasons of why he does not date. Not only does it lead to unwanted attachments, but it also is a lot of mental work and commitment and Jeonghan does not have the energy for either.

Jeonghan sighs heavily one more time, shifting to his side, adjusting his position so he can sleep better. However, sleep never does come. He spent most of his time thinking whether Emily has reached the national training center and then spent other time thinking about whether or not Emily will be able to qualify for the national team this time.

Admittedly, Jeonghan has actually spent quite a bit of time researching on swimming, competitions and Emily on google the past couple of days. It wasn't because he is interested in her but more because he thought it would be good to expand his knowledge on a topic he doesn't know about.
