"There you go," The nurse said as she finished bandaging Emily's arm, "The cut is surprisingly deep. I wouldn't suggest going into chlorine water for a few days. Until the cut heals at least."
"Yes," Emily said. She hopped of the bed and grabbed her phone. She had left her bag behind in the coffee shop and didn't even realize until she reached the nurse's office. "Thank you," She said walking out of the nurse's office. Luckily, it seemed that word has yet to reach far and the nurse was unaware of the events of the coffee shop that had just unfolded a few moments ago.
Emily had explained she got the cut from a broken glass, which is true, but she did not specify she got the cut the scratches on her arm from a psychotic woman trying to kill her by her nails. Nevertheless, the nurse still did clean her other scratches on her arms, which now that Emily looks down at, are glaring red against the sun. It is obvious from any glance that Emily has clearly been assaulted.
Emily was in for a surprise when she walked out of the nurse's office to see Jeonghan leaning against the wall next to the door, lazily on his phone. He looked up when he felt the door open and slid his phone away in the pocket of his jeans.
"What are you doing here?" Emily could not help but ask.
Jeonghan straightened himself off the wall and took a look at her hands before grimacing at the wounds.
"Are you okay?" He asked, obviously referring to the cut.
"I'm fine," Emily answered.
For some reason she wasn't ticked off my Jeonghan's presence. She could tell Jeonghan is genuinely asking her for her wellbeing. As much as Jeonghan can be cruel, he also has his humane moments.
Or maybe perhaps dealing with Yejune has consumed all of her energy.
Or that in front of Yejune, Jeonghan appears as an angel.
Emily sighs when Jeonghan doesn't move and once again asks, "Why are you here Jeonghan?"
Jeonghan concentrated on the ground as his face went void of emotions. "Is it true?"
"Is what true?" Emily asked for him clarify.
"You...you're seeing that guy. Is that true?" Jeonghan asked, his voice surprisingly quiet.
So this is what it is about.
Emily felt like scoffing.
"Yes Jeonghan. I am seeing him and his name is Nam Joo-hyuck," Emily said, crossing her arms across her chest.
Jeonghan looks up at her and asks, "How long?"
"How long?" Emily frowned, "Frankly its none of your business and even if it was, I wouldn't tell you."
"Emily..." Jeonghan said slowly.
"Why do you even care?" Emily asked, "Just leave me alone."
She started to walk away but Jeonghan grabs her wrist and stops her.
"Jeonghan. Stop this," Emily said, really tired of everything she has gone through with today.
"Don't see him,"
"What?" Emily repeated, unsure if she heard him correctly.
"Don't see him," Jeonghan repeated.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Emily said, "You're not my dad."
"He's not good for you," Jeonghan said, "He's not going to make you happy."
Emily actually laughed and pulled her hand back. "That's real fancy of you to say," She said, "As if you have ever made anyone in your life happy. Take a look in a mirror before speaking."
