~* Venus's POV *~

"We have to act like we are engaged?!" Ciel shouted in shock. Sebastian nodded.

I kept my face expressionless but my surprise was evident in my eyes. Sebastian said that in order for me to get in, I have to act like Ciel's betrothed. There is no way in hell I would do that... my pride won't let me.

"I will not do it," Ciel stated. I nodded in agreement. Sebastian smirked at us, a knowing glint in his eyes.

"You do want to solve the case, correct?" he asked. I sighed, he was true. I guess I have no choice.

Ciel and I exchanged glances before nodding at each other, agreeing. Sebastian adjusted his glasses. He was playing the role of Ciel's tutor.

The carriage came to a stop, meaning we have arrived. Ciel and I stepped off with Sebastian's help. We began to walk towards the entrance but Sebastian stopped us.

"Remember, you have to act betrothed," he reminded. He stared at our hands. My eyes widened. He wants us to hold hands?!

Ciel noticed this too. He sighed before holding his arm out. I debated on whether I should take it. I'm doing this for her majesty...

I hooked my arm with Ciel's before we started to walk. I glanced at Ciel and saw a faint blush on his cheeks. Does he blush over every little thing?

"Keep your head down," I whispered, noticing the guards at the entrance. They were part of the Dark Knights. Ciel and Sebastian noticed as well.

We paused and hid behind the building. We need another plan! They were going to recognize us.

Sebastian told us his idea. Ciel and I stared at him in shock. He cannot be serious...

"If anyone recognizes me, my family will be put to shame for generations," Ciel said disgusted.

Earl Phantomhive was dressed like a young lady while I was a young man. We switched genders. I found it quite weird that Sebastian came prepared. He brought a wig with him, making Ciel use it.

As for me, I had tied my hair up in a top bun before hiding it with a top hat that Ciel was previously wearing. Ciel and I had to switch clothes. I was slightly shorter than the Earl though...

I held my arm out. Ciel hooked his arm with mine before we made our way to the entrance. We were able to walk through with no complications. Ciel sighed in relief.

Sebastian followed us with an annoying smirked on his face. It was getting irritating the way he was staring at us...

"There is the owner of the Royal Opera House," I pointed towards the man on the other side of large ball room. Ciel nodded. We began to walk towards him but a soft song suddenly played. Couples got in front of us and started dancing. I sighed in annoyance.

"It looks like we may have to dace our way through it," I stated. Ciel looked embarrassed.

I grabbed his hand. Since I was the man in this situation, I had to awkwardly put my hand on Ciel's waist. With that, we started our dance. Sebastian waltzed with another woman. He held so much grace that it put a swan to shame. I narrowed my eyes at him. Demons can be elegant creatures on the outside but in the inside, they are cunning and sly.

I winced when Ciel stepped on my foot. Unlike Sebastian, Ciel had quite jerky movements. He seemed like he didn't know how to dance or was really bad at it.

"I apologize," Ciel muttered. I sighed.

"Here, go like this," I instructed and stepped to the right. Ciel complied and took a left. Then I stepped forward as Ciel went backwards. I slid to the left gracefully while he hastily moved to the right.

"Put a little more grace to your movement," I said sternly, moving backwards. He nodded with his eyes brows furrowed, moving forward. He was getting slightly better...

"Now, gracefully bend your back," I dipped his head low as he arched his back elegantly. I pulled him up and twirled him around. He did just fine, matching my movements. I nodded in approval. With that, we continued to dance.

Before long, the song ended. Ciel had a small smile on his lips.

"You are quite better than the dance instructor I have currently," the Earl complimented.

"Thank you. I learned from the best," I said, referring to my mother. She wanted to become a dancer before she had me. She was one of the best dancers I've ever seen but she quit because she had Chrissy. I sighed sadly remembering her. I miss her...

"Excellent dancing, master. However did you learn that so quickly?" Sebastian smiled.

"Lady Venus instructed me the whole time," Ciel stated. His butler smirked, staring between us. I narrowed my eyes at him. I opened my mouth to speak but was interrupted.

"You both were quite an exquisite dancer." Ciel and I turned towards the new voice. It was Liam. How did I not notice him?

"I will fetch refreshments, master," Sebastian bowed before leaving. He left us alone with the leader of the Dark Knights.

"My, my look at you, Earl Phantomhive. So that's how you snuck past the guards?" Liam smirked, staring at Ciel's outfit. The Earl glared at him but his pink cheeks showed that he was slightly embarrassed. Liam shifted his eyes towards me.

"I have information for you, Venus," he stated. I kept quiet but was curious about what he was about to say. Liam leaned near my ear before he said something that made my eyes widened.

"A bomb has been planted. It is scheduled to blow up this Opera House in five minutes," he whispered. He leaned backwards, a smug smile plastered on his face before running away.

"Stop there!" Ciel was about to run after him but he tripped on his dress. He face planted into the floor. I sighed and shook my head. He has no sense of balance...

I yanked him up. He growled in frustration for himself, he let him get away.

"Ciel, we have no time for him. There is a bomb that is going to blow the Opera House in five minutes," I stated. His eyes widened.

"That is not enough time to evacuate everyone," Ciel analyzed the big group of people that has attended. I nodded in agreement.

"I know, we have to find the bomb!" I said hastily. He really needs to learn how to be a fast thinker. We were wasting time just by standing here and talking.

"Sebastian!" Ciel called. His butler appeared in front of us in a flash. The Earl explained the situation.

"Let us split up. It will be easier to find it," I said. They nodded, determination written all over their face. With that, we separated.

Little did we know that this was all a set up.
