~* Venus's POV *~

Placing the single rose on the grave, I looked up at the clear sky and smiled.

Goodbye, Mother, Father, and Chrissy. I love you.

"Venus?"

His voice eased the sadness away, his arms encircling my waist as his chin rested on my shoulder. I basked in his familiar scent, knowing that even though they are gone, he will always be there for me.

"Are you feeling alright?" his thumb brushed the stray tear from my face, "We don't have to attend the grand celebration if you do not wish."

"No, it's okay," I sighed softly, "We must meet the new Queen. She's already throwing a party in our honor for saving England."

Ciel nodded, his eyes glancing at the grave.

"It's been a month since..."

"Mmh," I hummed in response, my voice dropping to a whisper as I leaned into his embrace, "You're all I have left."

"Who knows? There may be room for more," he placed a quick kiss on my lips before walking towards the carriage. I froze as his words hit me.

My face flushed red. Did he just suggest..? Babies.. As in a fetus? A tiny Ciel walking around? We are still children ourselves for heaven's sake!

Regaining my composure, I hurriedly followed after him, rolling my eyes. I took a seat across from the Earl, tears brimming from his eyes as he covered his mouth with his hand to suppress his laughter.

"Y-Your face!"

"Shuddup. I hate you," I huffed immaturely, crossing my arms over my chest like a child throwing a tantrum.

He smiled, my heart skipping a beat before his hand brushed against mine. I responded, my finger beginning to trace the lines on his palm. He closed his eyes, a relaxed look on his face. Soon enough, his soft snores were the only thing that could be heard in the carriage.

I reached over, moving aside the strands of navy hair that managed to displace.

I remember the person I was before I had ever set foot in the Phantomhive manor. The emotionless girl that was hell bent on obtaining revenge for the murderer of her family. Hating all demons alike and closing off her heart to anyone, in fear of being hurt. The one who believed she was cursed, never to be loved. The girl so fierce and renowned, yet so broken and alone.

Then she met him.

A boy, the very creature she hated yet was more human than anyone she had ever encountered. Like her, a dark past burdened him, continuing to chip away shards of himself, leaving a cold and emotionless young noble. They met, talked, cried, saved and loved one another. Before long, the broken had been fixed.

My lips placed a soft, sweet kiss on Ciel's forehead, a tear slipping from my eye. The undeniable feeling burned like a wild fire in my heart. Love is such an odd thing.
