~* Venus's POV *~

Clenching the gun tightly, I looked at Ciel for confirmation. He nodded. Cost is clear.

Ripping the door open, I walked in cautiously with my gun pointed in front of me, ready to fire. Bodies of the Queen's servants laid on the ground. I frowned slightly, angry at the fact they were killing innocent people.

There was someone inside. Someone familiar.

A man in a wheelchair looked up at the sound of someone entering. Liam.

His eyes widened at the sight of me. He reached for the gun hooked onto his belt. I pulled the trigger, the bullet piercing his arm. The gun flew out of his hand, clattering to the ground. He groaned in pain, cursing under his breath.

"You are suppose to be dead!" he sneered, thinking I had perished in the building they had trapped me in.

"Well I thought you were smart enough to know that I don't die that easily. I guess we were both wrong," I glared at him icily.

"Now, where is the Queen?" Ciel demanded.

Liam looked between us, his eyes sparking with recognition, "Ooh, I see. The Earl chose you over Lady Elizabeth. Bravo, Ciel, good choice."

"Shut up before I make you," I hissed, cocking the gun. The mere sound of his voice pinches a nerve.

"The Queen?" Ciel repeated.

"Our dear leader is with her," Liam looked straight at me, "Christopher is just waiting for you. After he murders the Queen, your precious Ciel Phantomhive is next."

"I'll change my brother's mind," I said confidently, "Show him how much of an idiot he is."

"And then what?" Liam questioned, "Even if you win, your brother will still be charged for his many crimes. He already has no future. He will most likely get executed, beheaded. And there is no way he can escape it."

My eyes widened, "B-But-"

"It's too late for him. For all of us. That's why we must do this. Get rid of the filth that dirties our land."

His words finally settled in me. My brother's life is finished. He has no future, only being beheaded the only way he can atone for his sins. But.. but... I didn't want that.

Liam pushed further, "Why not join us, Venus? Join us on cleansing this tainted government. Your brother would welcome you with open arms. He would be so very happy! He is doing all this for you, after all--"

A bullet silenced him. His corpse fell to the ground with a dull thud.

I looked over at Ciel who had been the one to pull the trigger. I hadn't realized my hands were shaking, a stray tear falling from my eye. I didn't know what to do. I felt torn between the loyalty to my brother and from doing what I know is right.

"C-Ciel, I c-can't do this," I murmured, my vision starting to blur with tears, "H-He's my brother. He did all this for me. For me. This is my fault. M-My fault. Mine."

He pulled me into a tight hug, "Shh, it's okay. It is not your fault."

"Oh my god. All those lives he took was because of me. For my happiness. It is my fault! I c-can't face him like this! I w-won't! Ciel, I don't know what to do. P-Please tell me what to do," I cried into his chest, clenching onto him tightly. The reality of what will become of my brother finally hit me.

My mind felt like a mess. A battle. One side screamed at me to fulfill my duty as the Queen's faithful raven. The other pushed me to help my brother. Neither side was winning. Only an endless mess of emotions rushed through me. Sadness. Anger. Fear.

"Venus, I cannot tell you what to do," his grip around me tightened, "But I can tell you that no matter what you choose, I will follow you. Even to the depths of hell."

His words got rid of the uneasiness I felt. I looked up at him with glistening eyes, "I've lost everyone. My mother, my father, my best friend and I'm most likely about to lose my brother. You are the only one left. You are the only one who cannot leave me. Understand?"

He smiled, "Understood."

"Good," I wiped away the tears, "Now, let's finish this, together."

"Together," he repeated, without knowing how much those words meant to me.

We took off, heading straight for the throne room. The Queen must be held hostage there. The large double doors were heavily guarded by the Dark Knights, confirming my suspicion. A sense of dread settled within me, knowing my brother lies behind those doors. I glanced at Ciel. A small smile tugged on his lips.

I took a deep breath, suppressing these troublesome emotions and focused on getting through the guards. Revealing the only grenade I had left, I grasped onto the safety clip.

"Ready?" I asked. He nodded, putting his hands over his ears, bracing himself.

I pulled the safety clip out and quickly threw it, the time bomb landing in the middle of their formation. Panic broke out amongst them.

"GET BACK! THERE'S A--"

BOOM!

I shielded my eyes, feeling blood splatter against my cheek. Pained screams and shouts filled the air. Bodies lay sprawled on the ground. A few lucky ones lived but were fatally injured, their faces contorted in agony as they struggled to breathe. And then there were the unlucky ones. They never knew what hit 'em.

"Let's go."

Ciel and I got up, running towards the throne room. Before the ones that lived had a chance to fire at us, my gun went off, instantly killing them. Now, they were all unlucky.

Pushing the doors open, we were greeted with guns pointed towards us, another wave of Dark Knights standing before us. We stopped dead in our tracks.

"Damn," Ciel muttered, raising his hands in surrender, I doing the same. There were about 20 men. I knew we couldn't take them.

"Drop your weapons," one ordered.

Sighing in annoyance, I put my gun on the floor and kicked it towards them, Ciel following afterwards. Though, I kept another small gun hidden in my boot. Fools. Underestimating us because we are children. Their mistake.

"Check her boot," a voice suddenly ordered.

I looked up, trying to pinpoint who said that but couldn't see because of the 20 rifles that were pointed at us. The man closest to us cleared his throat, gesturing to do as said.

Rolling my eyes, I took it out and threw it at him. He glared at my actions. Damn. How did they know about that?

"Our father use to hide a gun in his boot."

The men parted as someone made their way through, bowing in respect. Already knowing who it was, my eyes casted downwards to the ground, the sound of my erratic heartbeat pounding in my ears. I froze on the spot, tears threatening to spill. My hands started shaking, my breath trembling, forgetting how to breathe for a moment. It's him.

"Hello, sister dearest."

Our eyes met. Same cyan colored orbs. Same absurd purple hair. Time stopped. Memories flashed before my eyes.

I breathed, "Chrissy."
