~* Ciel's POV *~

I woke up on a cold surface the cement under me smelling of blood. Looking up, I realized I was in a dungeon, chains that were attached to the wall kept me in place. Where the hell am I?

"Ah, you are finally awake," Liam smirked, sitting on a wheelchair outside of the bars, watching me with amusement. A little smile claimed my lips, knowing that he is paralyzed. He definitely deserved it.

I tugged on one of the chains, using my inhuman strength to rip it out of the withering cobbled wall. I clenched onto the other, ready to rip out the last one to set me free when I was stopped.

"Unless you want to see her killed, I suggest you stop," Liam stated.

I froze. Her?

He nodded to his men before they dragged a familiar body inside. She was unconscious, bound by rope. They dropped Elizabeth to the ground. A little relief washed over me, knowing that it wasn't who I thought it was. Though, I knew I had to save my cousin.

"She isn't the only one we took," Liam said, dread settling in me.

Another body was dragged. My heart sank. It was Venus. Unlike Elizabeth, she was hurt. Her left cheek was bruised badly, shaped like a fist. Thankfully, I could hear her heart beating. She's alive. But someone dared to lay a hand on her.

My eye flashed its demonic color, rage coursing through my veins. They actually had the nerve to harm her. They've seen me when I'm mad, but now, I am furious. They hurt something very dear to me.

"Ooh, scary," Liam mocked, seeing the fuchsia colored slitted eye glaring at him, "Such a scary demon. I'm terrified~"

"You should be," I growled indignantly, clenching my fist. Once I get my hands on him, he will surely pay for hurting Venus physically and mentally. I will personally insure that.

He leaned over, gently caressing her cheek with his soiled hands. I tugged on the chains, threateningly, not wanting his dirtied hands to touch something pure.

"Don't you dare touch her!"

"I didn't want to hurt her," he sighed, "But she put up quite the fight when my men tried to capture her. We had no choice."

Before I could blink, Liam was on the floor, groaning in pain, a human like figure looming over him. I furrowed my brows in confusion. What just happened? Who is that person? With hands balled up in a fists, the person sneered,

"My orders were to not harm her!"

Liam looked up at the man in fear, bowed his head respectfully, "I apologize, sir."

The man kneeled beside Venus, carrying her in his arms and stroking her hair softly. A painful look crossed his face as his fingers felt the wound on her skin.

He must be the leader. But something about him seemed familiar. I didn't know why. I couldn't see his face clearly in the darkness with a single torch lighting the room dimly. But the way he acted towards Venus.. he acted in an almost caring way. Just who is this man?

Turning around, he revealed his familiar face. With purple hair and cyan colored eyes, I recognized the man whom I had bumped into at the masquerade ball. He had been the one to make me realize the feelings I held for Venus. He is the leader?

"We meet again, Earl," he smiled.

I narrowed my eyes at him, "Who are you?"

He looked down at the girl in his arms, a torn expression was shown in a grimace. Looking straight at me, he spoke, "Take care of her for me."

With that, he left.

A string of curse words left Liam's mouth as he climbed back onto his wheelchair, wiping the blood from the cut on his upper cheek. He growled in annoyance as he glared at the previous spot where the man was,

"That son of a bitch."

A sinister look danced in his eyes as he looked at Venus, something diabolical forming in his sick mind. I had a terrible feeling about him.

"Now that he is gone," he yanked Venus by the hair, causing her face to contort in pain but she still stayed unconscious as Liam glowered, "I can get rid of you."

He nodded towards his men, each grabbing Venus or Elizabeth. They dragged them away, each going a separate way. I glared. No way in hell I am letting him take them away. Especially her.

"This place shall detonate within five minutes," Liam declared, making my eyes go wide. He continued, "You will only be able to save one girl. Venus or your fiance. I cannot wait to find out which one you will choose."

I have to choose between saving Venus or Elizabeth?

"Until later," Liam smirked, bidding farewell before rolling out of the room to safety, leaving me alone to deal with my problem.

Frustration and anger coursed through my veins as I ripped the chains out of the wall, freeing myself. How dare he. He dares to hurt Venus than tell me to choose between her or Elizabeth. That sick bastard.

But one thing is for certain. I know who I want to save.

"Sebastian, come at once," I ordered, my butler appearing before me, bowing respectfully, "You called, young master?"

"Find Elizabeth and save her."

"And Lady Venus?" he questioned.

"I will be the one to save her," I stated, my eyes narrowed in determination. She is the one I choose. Venus is the one I want to protect no matter what.

"Yes, my Lord," Sebastian promised before disappearing.

Pulling the eye patch from my eye, I revealed my true nature. With orbs glowing its demonic glow, I found myself not needing to hide myself any longer. After all, Venus doesn't care about the monster I truly am. I can show myself to her and protect her with this curse. No matter what, I will keep her safe.

I took of running towards the girl whom I held dearest in my once cold heart.
