The following days added tension to my heart as we were approaching the day of the meeting with the CEO of my previous company. Kinakabahan talaga ako pero kailangan kong ipaglaban ang tama. I need to clear my name. It's not my fault anyway. They didn't investigate it.

When the day came, I brought Adrian with me to testify and explain the truth behind the incident. Kasama rin namin si Pablo noong pumasok kami sa conference room. Warren also took a leave from work just to support me. Naiwan sila sa labas kasama si Calvin at Amanda.

Nang makapasok kami sa conference, bumungad agad sa akin ang iba't ibang respetadong tao sa loob ng kumpanya. When my eyes landed on the person standing at the far end of the long table, an electrifying feeling surged through my system. The big boss is here, and he's looking sternly at me.

I did my best to stay calm and suppress what I was feeling. Sa tagal kong nagtatrabaho sa NMC ay pangalawang beses ko pa lang nakita si Mr. Yamamoto na CEO ng kumpanya. Halos manginig ako sa paglalakad habang binabaybay ang daan patungo sa upuan ko.

Sa dami namin sa loob, hindi ko na mabilang kung ilan kaming lahat. It felt like there were more than twenty individuals, and the three of us were the newest additions to the group inside the conference.

I took a deep breath before settling into my seat. Naupo na rin si Adrian at si Pablo sa magkabilang gilid ko.

Mr. Yamamoto began the agenda. Nakikinig lang ako sa kaniya. Pablo was the one who served as my spokesperson. Kaya ko naman sumagot ngunit mas may tiwala ako sa kakayahan ni attorney Pablo. He knew everything about my case. Wala na akong dapat pang ikabahala sa mga mangyayari.

Mr. Yamamoto asked Adrian to share his story with everyone. That was when I knew we had already won the case.

After almost an hour and a half of deliberation, we both agreed on a sixty percent money compensation. Pablo tried negotiating for eighty percent, but they refused and offered only fifty percent. I told them sixty percent with finality. Wala naman na silang angal dahil ayaw nila ng mahabang usap tubgkol doon. They don't want any of this to spread out. As much as possible, they are protecting their image and this could be a huge problem if other's might discover anout this.

"Two million, two hundred fifty thousand. That's a huge amount of money," I heard Adrian whisper beside me.

Nang maayos ang bank to bank transfer information ay hinarap ko siya.

"Thank you for helping me out," I said and hugged him. When I pulled away, I stared directly into his eyes. "As I promised, I will help you with your mother's therapy and medication."

I saw a genuine smile appear on his lips. His eyes glistened with tears of joy as he hugged me once more.

Nang humarap naman ako kay Pablo ay isang mahigpit na yakap agad ang binigay ko sa kaniya. If it weren't for him helping me throughout the process, I might not have won the case. Malaki ang utang na loob ko sa kaniya.

"We should head out. They're waiting for us," he said, leading the way.

When my friends came into view, I gave them a thumbs up. Halos magtatalon si Amanda at Calvin sa tuwa. Wren was smiling from ear to ear, as if he had already expected it to happen.

Nang makalapit ay niyakap ko agad si Warren. I was getting emotional in his warm embrace. Something about this hug lifted the heaviness in my heart. I felt at ease, even if just for a moment.

"Congrats," he said while caressing my back.

Binawi ko ang sarili mula sa yakap niya. I smiled at him. "Thank you for supporting me. Your attorney Pablo is heaven sent."
