"Hey, I'm headed out. I'll see you later." I tell Sabrina as I shove my apron under the counter.
"You guys ready to go?" I ask Jace and Ryder as I sit down to change out of my blades. "Ryder go tell everyone bye, ok." Ryder takes off headed towards Mikey, Sabrina, and Todd.
"Thank you." Jace says while watching me put all my stuff in a bag.
"For what?" I ask him confused.
"Letting me hang out with him today. Giving me a second chance. Not kicking my ass for being a jerk." he says while looking down.
"Look you maybe an idiot but I saw you today with Ryder. You never let him out of your sight. He probably talked your ear of about Scooby-Doo. You were good with him." I tell him as I stand up, "Just don't screw this up. Promise me one thing though." I wait until he nods confused, "If anything ever happens to me I want you to take care of Ryder. He comes first."
"What. Nothings gonna..." Jace starts before Ryder runs up and starts, "Mommy can I stay at Uncle Raphael's to night?" I chuckle as I nod. "Yes!" he exclaims before running towards the door.
"What Raphael. As in leader of the New York Vampires?" Jace asks shocked.
"Yes..." I say as I unlock the car door and Ryder climbs in.
"When you left Raphael was helping us find you. And he knew where you were." Jace states irritated.
"I know he found me but I asked him not to say anything. Besides he loves Ryder." I says as I get to the drivers side of the car, "Do you want me to drop you off at the institute?"
Jace just climbs in and pouts in the passenger seat and I chuckle. Twenty minutes later Ryder was passed out in the back seat and Jace was playing on his phone still pouting, so I turned the radio up some and started singing along with the songs"

"Hey. Do you think we could do this again in a couple of days?" Jace asks while getting out of the car.
"Sure, I'll call you to set up the date. Bye Jace." I say and he closes the door. I look back at Ryder, "Let's go get your bags and call Uncle Raphael." As I drive away from the institute.
