Cynthia had told me that she planned on talking to Red about the situation and I informed her that the sooner she does, the better. She also told me what had happened between Trevor and her before I walked up. I guess he claimed he couldn't have been the father. I felt really bad for her. I felt bad to know she was going through it alone. So I made sure she knew I was a call away, if she needed to talk. Then again, I have my own problems.

I sat up in bed and looked at the time. It was already 11:42 at night. I got out of bed and went down the stairs and into the kitchen, searching for a snack. I chose a donut stick. I looked down seeing my dog Karma, wagging her tail and knew exactly what she wanted. I searched for her leash.

As I walked the dark streets, I reminded myself to thank god for street lamps before I sleep tonight. There was a park two blocks from where we were staying. I let her off her leash once we got there and sat on a bench to watch her. I knew my dad would hate to know I was out this late. I began thinking of my mom, who was back home. She and my dad separated a few years ago, but now she was states away and I hated the thought of it. I felt my phone buzz against my waist and pulled it out from my hood. I was surprised to see who it was. James. An ex. He was my first and only boyfriend I have ever had.

"I really miss you"

The text pulled at a few heartstrings. Then again it shouldn't have. He cheated on me, with a friend. Only because I refused to have sex, but you'd think if someone loved you they'd wait. He doesn't and never loved me. I haven't spoken to him in six months.

Oh

I respond. I began to miss everything back home and everyone I cared about. I couldn't help but cry.

"You don't miss me? Why wouldn't you tell me that you left?"

I rolled my eyes at his reply.

It's late. I'm going to sleep.

I lied. I kept an eye on Karma.

"I know you're not, but if you don't wanna talk Kay. Goodnight😚💕"

I roll my eyes and put my phone away. I heard a masculine scream and looked up to see that Karma had been chasing someone. I gasp and quickly run after her. "Karma!" I call and with a clap, she's running back to me. "Is that your dog?" The guy shouts. I pet her to calm her down. "Yeah. Sorry." I mumble. He stepped out from the darkness and now I can see his face. Damn. He was gorgeous. He had dark hair, bright blue eyes that gave him a feminine kind of touch and was tall, muscular, yet lean. "Yeah well you should get a f**king leash." I was taken back by his language. "Sorry. She usually doesn't act that way." I said, putting her leash on. "By the way, I do have a leash and chill she's just a puppy." I say trying not to laugh. She was a baby pit bull. She's not intimidating at all. He rolls his eyes. "I couldn't tell. All I knew was that something was chasing me." I laughed, but paused when I realized how closely he was watching me. "Name?" He asked. "Amira." I responded. "I was talking about the dog." He smirks. I chuckled, embarrassed. "Oh, Karma." I answered. He nods. "I'm Shawn, but everyone calls me Scorpio." He smiled. "Oh cool. I'm a Pisces." I said awkwardly. I was joking. I'm definitely not a Pisces. He laughed. "Uh, okay. Why are you out so late anyway?" He asked. I paused. "I just like walks." I replied. "At midnight?" I nodded. "What about you?" I asked. "I always come here at this time." He said. I smiled. "Well it was nice meeting you." I smiled. "You too. See you around." He said as we parted ways. I couldn't help but feel like baby seahorses were swimming in my stomach. I've never been so nervous around a boy like that before.

I know it looks corny but she's not a Pisces it's not one of those kinda stories😂 I swear.
