He stared at me for a moment, biting his bottom lip and then smiled. "You need to get some sleep. Let me walk you home." I smiled and was hoping that he couldn't tell just how nervous I really was. It was just a kiss. No biggie.
As we walked we weren't really talking at first. He spoke up as we turned down my street. "So.." He paused. "You don't feel weird about me kissing you, right?" He said. I looked at him oddly.He didn't seem like the type of guy to ask that kind of question. He's definitely not shy or a nervous kind of guy. I smiled, realizing that I made him that way. "No, I don't mind." I admitted as I got my keys and walked up the porch, with him behind me. "Well, good. Get used to it." He smirked and kissed my lips, once again. This time it was more of a hungry, lustful kiss and it surprised me. He pulled away, nearly leaving me breathless. "Good night, Amira." He smirked. "Good night, Shawn." His expression changed to more of an annoyed kind. "What?" I asked. "I asked you not to call me that." He reminded me. I shrugged with a smile. He reluctantly smiled back. "I'll see you tomorrow." He said. "Bye." I replied as he stepped off the porch.
I had never been more happy to sleep, just to wake up again and go to school.
~~~~~I pulled into the school's lot and grabbed my jacket and book bag from the backseat. "When will you ever let me drive?" Amyra asked. "It's my car. Remember?" I chuckled as we made our way into the building.
"I'll see you in class." Amyra said, before walking off. I dug through my locker for the correct notebook. "Hey, Miss." I heard his voice. I smiled, seeing the grin across his face. "Hey." I replied. "You got anything to eat? I'm hungry." He asked bluntly. I chuckled. "Not for you." I answered. He looked offended. "I don't like the school's food, so I need something to eat today. I'm saving it." He peered into my locker and gasped. "Sour lifesavers and cheese crackers?! Please just a little? I had practice this morning and didn't eat a thing. I'm exhausted." He sounded like a diva. I sighed. "What if I bring you something tomorrow to eat? What do you like?" He was actually serious. I smiled. "A Dairy Queen blizzard and subway." I challenged him. He smirked. "What kinda blizzard?" I gave him the details and we made the exchange. "Thank you so much." He said. He leant forward, giving me a hug. Which was odd to me. "No problem." I replied. "I'll see you later." He said, before walking off. As he did, I spotted Red and Cyn rushing toward me with strange expressions on their faces. "What are you doing?" Cynthia asked. "Nothing-" "With Scorpio." Red added. "Nothing. I-" "I told you to be careful around him. He's a f**k boy." I laughed at her terminology. "There's nothing going on with us-" "So now you two are an 'us'. Wow.." Red assumed. "No! Would you let me talk?" "Okay so explain the touchiness and the hug and how close you are and the body language and-" "Chill, it was a hug." I defended myself. "Well, I'm pretty sure that if Aliyah saw that she would not just simply, chill." Cynthia mocked. "Who's Aliyah?" I asked. "You know, Ally.." Red spoke. I shook my head, confused. "Her and Scorpio are basically a thing right now. Even though they'll probably last a week or two more, you wouldn't want to get a bad name around here." I immediately felt hurt and was in denial. "He's not dating anyone." I replied. "Uh yes, he is." Red said. "Since last week they've been all over each other and that's what she's telling everyone." She explained. I didn't respond. "Just don't mess with Ally, cause I'm not exactly in the right condition to fight." Cynthia joked. I laughed. "It won't come down to that, and if it does, I got this." We all chuckled. I was so curious now. Who the hell is, Ally? Then again, why should I be pissed?
The whole day has been upsetting. Mainly, because of what they had told me. As I was walking to Amyra's locker to meet up for lunch I saw, Scorpio. He looked like he was waiting on someone. I didn't bother to say hi or anything. He spotted me and gestures for me to come over. I sighed and walked toward him. "What's wrong with you?" He asked. I shrugged. "Is it your mom?" I rolled my eyes. "I don't wanna talk about that." I spoke, a bit rudely. "Okay...Who made you mad?" He asked. "Who's Ally?" I asked. He looked surprised. "Ally? Aliyah..She's no one." He said. "Really? I heard that the two of you had a thing." I explained. "We did, but it wasn't like a relationship thing. It was.." He paused. "It was what?" I asked. He shrugged. "Well, we basically just messed around. Nothing serious." I wondered what he meant, but didn't want to ask. I nodded. "But it's nothing. Trust me." He assured me. "Okay." I replied. "Scorpio!" I heard a girl's voice shout, cheerfully. I turned around, seeing a pretty, petite girl. "And that's her.." He sighed. "Look, I'll see you around. Okay?" He said. I nodded as he walked away. I watched the two interact. It was the girl from before who he had been hugging. Once again, they hugged. What is he just a hugger? I doubt that. I rolled my eyes, before walking off.
I explained to Amyra, Cynthia and Red what's happened between Scorpio and I, but made sure they knew that we weren't serious at all. Of course, Red and Cyn over exaggerated. I only wanted their advice, but they gave way more than that. Cynthia was the main one who seemed annoyed by him and I wondered why. She complained about it the whole day. I was glad to hear the last bell. As I finished gathering things at my locker and putting things away, I felt like I was being watched. I closed the locker and saw Ally talking to some girl and then she began to approach me. I sighed carelessly and leaned against the locker, waiting on her. "Mirror, right?" She asked. I chuckled. "Amira." I said, with a smile. I didn't want us to start off on a bad note. Maybe one of us is just confused. I was hoping that it was her. "Look, you're a pretty girl. So I'm hoping that you wouldn't mind backing off my boyfriend, because you can find someone else." I stared at her unfazed. "What boyfriend?" I asked. "Scorpio. He's my boyfriend. Everyone knows." I shrugged. "Apparently he doesn't know. But trust me, I'm not the one chasing him. So talk to your boyfriend and tell him to leave me alone." I said, before walking away. I can't even explain how angry I was at that moment.
