Lost (P2)

Tails's lab.

"Something was draining my powers before I was stabbed in the guts," Shadow crossed his arms, "I suspect it's the seal."

"Are you sure?" Tails asked, "if that's so..."

Shadow didn't hesitate to state what he's been thinking, he had this guess right from the beginning, "possibly, they want it to seal me."

"What?" Blazed gasped, and Silver had a shocked look.

Tails say nothing, but only looked at Shadow in all seriousness.

"It's like, you're the key, to their plan," Silver slowly uttered his words, "but I don't understand, they tried to kill you first, for what?"

"Possibly sealing me is their backup plan," Shadow answered.

"Wait, if you're their target, then why are we in the obvious place where Sonic could find us?" Blaze pointed out, "he's fast, he'll find us in just a moment, even though you're trying to play the most dangerous place is the most safest act."

Shadow shot a look at her, "That is why, I am proposing a plan, right now, which I will be the bait."

Shadow firmly said, "I told you before, wait for my signal."

Silver scratched his head, "what the hell do you mean by wait for your signal? We've been waiting since we met you."

Right just Silver's question ended, familiar voice of their friend pops up. 

"Yo gang, took me awhile to find out this party, how could I missed it when Shadow finally attend!"

He grinned cheekily at Shadow. 

"I would like to have a dance," He gritted his words out in his teeth, then growled out, "with YOU."

"Sonic..." Tails eyes widened in shock, when he was yet to feel waves and waves of sadness drowning him from insideout, Sonic charged towards Shadow in less than a second.

Everything felt slowed down, when Tails met Sonic's gaze. He was expressionless, as he stared at Tails in that few milliseconds, but to Tails, it felt like a thousand words. Doubt, questioning, disappointed, death, emptiness and everything else that felt like touching a dead corspe.

Sharp noises rang from small to loud headaches in between his ears.

"Shadow!" Silver shouted, it was muffled behind all those ringing noises, and then became clear again.

This time Tails eyes locked onto that red, fiery iris. His mind went clear immediately, where he heard Shadow's deep voice in his head, saying,

Wait for my signal.

Everyone couldn't react as Sonic disappeared within thin air with that black hedgehog that was as tense as Tails.

"...Fucking hell," Blaze facepalmed and muttered.

"Quick, track him down, you have that kind of tech right?" Silver turned to Tails, "he got an emerald, track the emerald!"

"It was," Tails still has that same dumbfounded face, "destroyed, by Sonic."

"Track down Shadow's inhibitor rings then, that replacement that you have made," Blaze added.

Overwhelmed by everything, he slowly forced himself to gain back senses, "...yeah," Tails hurried to his control panel, "right, right."

Nowhere.

"Shadow, dear Shadow, why would you save a timeline, that is non-existent at the first place?"

When Shadow's vision returned to normal from the transition from lab to nowhere, Sonic playfully sing-songed, purple sparks bit by bit on Sonic's arm, slowly crawls towards the edge where his hand was clenching on Shadow's neck.

He felt like he could hear those dead Sonics' voices. These power, exchanged with the grim reaper himself, what price did Sonic pay for 7 souls?

He struggled to escape with chaos control, but failed. He let out a gasp of pain from the bursting pain where he forced out chaos energy while they were drained, and due to the suffocation.

Tails... Thanks to survival instinct, his mind reminded him about the replacement rings, I need time...

Lab.

Loud typing noises are slowly in beat with everyone's heart beat.

"Goddamnit hurry up Tails!"

"Can't you see what I'm doing motherfuc-"

----
Nowhere.

"I was told there would a savior, a hero, and it was not sonic, but you, Shadow." 

Behind Sonic, it was Mephiles, who spoke. He tore out Shadow's rings and smashed to the ground remotely with his power, "you need to be eliminated."

Lab.

"Fucking bi-" Tails grunted, both his hand slammed onto the panel.

"What happened??"

Signal lost-

Nowhere.

He continued, "You were not meant to be here Shadow, in this timeline, Robotnik and his granddaughter created you, so you can save this timeline."

"I was... created for... Maria..." Shadow cried out his voice.

Lab.

"What the fuck is happening Tails?? Signal lost???"

"What now Tails??"

"...We wait."

----
Nowhere.

"Not exactly, G.U.N. knew the 'Shadow' that experienced the same events would lead a hero, hence they play put an act. You were created not only for Maria, but also for the sake of this timeline."

Shadow's vision starts to fade.

"Even this is a different timeline, Maria's fate to be killed by G.U.N., unfortunately and for whatever reason, remains. That somehow is a benefit to let you become a saviour, that rises from the sorrow."

His heartbeat slowed.

"If you were not meant to be here, Maria wouldn't be dead, there wouldn't be a Sonic too to save , if it wasn't you, who started it all."

His reluctant breathing shut down.

"If it wasn't you, this timeline would be destroyed long ago, by whoever the villain is, a world without a hero, a world that leads to tragedy would be ended."

Voices muffled.

"It was all you."

Conscious lost.

On the screen where Tails was staring deadly, it displayed a window after a beep,
