Shadow's pov.

When I passed out, on Tails lab table, I dreamt about him.

I dreamt about Sonic.

He's been on my mind these few days. It's like a neverending story, keep coming and filling up all the spaces in my head.

I saw him, standing there just a few metres away from me, staring at me.

There are definitely many questions to be asked in a dream, but I dreamt myself hesitated, because I have already gotten the most picture of what's Sonic situation is.

I already have my own answer when I laid eyes on him.

So I walked towards him, to get close, to see clearer of him, to touch him.

As my hand is inches away from his cheek, he opened his mouth, and asked me a question.

"What are you doing?"

I froze. I had no idea. Probably, just wanted to see if this time was really just a dream, like that day in the woods when he was bleeding, that day when he's by the river, or that day when it was snowing.

Because, I'm not sure is this vision again, or really a dream. Because, there is nothing around here.

"Why are you still standing here?" He asked a question again.

I took back my hand, "where else could I go?"

He blankly stared at me for a while, and said, "I need you."

Then, I felt water around my feet. I looked down, and saw the floor started to flood rapidly. When I looked back at Sonic, he's still standing there, still have his gaze set on me, expressionless.

The water level already reached my waist and keep on flooding, I panicked, so I yelled at him, "you can't swim!"

I just keep saying, "you can't swim!", while trying to move towards him, to grab him away.

But my limbs started to feel uncontrollable, it's so heavy to move.

I lifted my face up high to have my last gasp of breath, right before I was pulled down into the water by my own weight.

When I opened my eyes to look for Sonic, my limbs could move again, so I jumped. I wasn't under water drowning, instead, I can breathe.

But every breath I take would just increase my pain. Then I was on the floor, then Tails came.

Then I proposed a plan, which I'm the bait.

Waiting for him to come and get me.

Sonic's POV.

That day when I told Tails some crappy excuse like Shadow teamed up with Mephiles, it was also the night that I started to think a lot, about what's gonna happened.

Even though Mephiles said the timeline is sure to end, I still hold doubts. Since Shadow is an, uncertainty, acknowledge by Mephiles himself.

So I found myself a way.

Time is like water flow. Flow down from a source, spread to different stream. If any streams was blocked, it would overflow everything, and change everything.

Everything, would be 'rewrite'.

I have stopped some time streams that's enough for me to mess with the source. Mephiles knew, but he didn't really care. He's a weird villain you know, he wouldn't let me completely destroy all timeline, even though he's a bad guy. Those dead Sonics you have read about, they're not really dead though, they can be alive again, just by a very simple way.

I simply just have to return then the chaos emerald that I took from 7 different timeline. That would trigger a 'undo reset'.

Mephiles thought everything I did was just meant to be, planned by his some kind of 'master'.

As long as he could get closer to his Iblis trigger, he wouldn't care what I did. He has all his faith on the 'fact' that this timeline could end with only his precious Iblis trigger.

But he didn't know, what I am up to in my head.

I want everything to end. Not only my timeline, but also the others.

There's no need to seal Shadow, I'll just, play a bit with him, and let him see what I have done.

Author's note: Dreams are interesting. Basically, it's an event that you're having a conversation with your sub-conscious. You could even think of it as a conversation with yourself, if there is a conversation. All those hiding feelings, uncertainties, worries, will emerge and project on your mind when your brain took back it's control from you.
