Ottilie Virses Lang inherited a haunted house from her late father. After a heated argument with her stepmother, she decided to move out and live independently. With her limited savings, she renovated the old house to make it more comfortable. One night, while cleaning her father's room, she stumbled upon an ancient book that promises to summon a dead soul. Desperate to speak with her father one last time, Ottilie performed the ritual. However, instead of summoning her father, she accidentally calls forth a demon prince named Plutus.
It turns out, Ottilie had mistakenly drawn a part of the magic circle incorrectly, messing the whole ritual. The spell was so powerful that it trapped the demon inside the house, unable to return to Hell. Fortunately, Ottilie, was able to cast a spell that allowed him to at least leave the house and roam the earth freely for the time being as she finds a way to undo the ritual.
Now, she bears the responsibility of breaking the curse that binds the demon prince, or else Plutus will make her life a living hell.
