Minho wake up later than usual today.

Last night, the talk with Jisung really made him mad, to the point he had trouble getting asleep.

So, this morning, he decided to skip his first class. At least, he could have a little moment to himself without crossing paths with the man that triggered his anger the day before.

After a long warm shower, he arrived in the kitchen to make himself breakfast.

His bowl ready, he brought it to the table, and froze.

On the table, a book was laying there.

With a little post-it on it.

"For Minho"

And he frowned as he read the title, his blood freezing and his anger fueling.

How to choose the good conversion therapy ?

He huffed loudly and put the bowl on the table.

He wasn't so hungry, now.

He picked up the book, noticing it's weird cover. It seemed pretty old.

But the fact that Jisung owned this kind of books made him feel uneasy. The fact that he was living with him was highly scary.

He grabbed the book, and threw it to the bin right away.

As soon as he comes back home, Jisung is going to get the scolding of his life.

He left his dorm with a need : to see Felix and have a talk.

He texted him, asking him for a coffee as soon as he's available, and he couldn't wait.

Concentrated on his phone, he didn't even realize he had walked face first on Changbin.

"You skipped" Chan nagged, breaking Minho from his daydream.

"Yeah, I was busy" Minho responded, sighing.

"Doing what ?"

"Facing the micro-agression I faced yesterday"

"Huh ?" The two boys let out, surprised and worried.

"Long short story" He sighed tiredly "Jisung is homophobic"

"No shit" Changbin said

"Why did I feel it ?" Chan added

"It's the 1920s vibe I guess" Minho responded, trying to humour the situation.

"Damn"

"I'm gonna have a talk with Felix about it" Minho sighed "Did you two know that Lix hangs up with him ?"

"I'm not surprised from Felix" Changbin said "The sunshine would be patient with anyone"

"He tries, at least" Minho responded "But I don't know if he'll try much after knowing what he said to me"

"I'm starting to think that the degenerate roomie was better" Chan said, chuckling.

"At least I felt safe in my own house" Minho joked, but if was slightly cynical.

Chan looked at him, knowing he was trying to keep a smile one but that he must have felt sincerely hurt by the words. He smiled softly at him, passing a hand on his hair.

And Minho swept his hand away.

"He what ?!" Felix asked, eyes widening.

"He fucking put a conversion therapy book on my goddamn table !" Minho repeated, sitting at the coffee shop and shaking his head.

"This is crazy" Felix responded, baffled.

Minho sighed.

"Last night, he threw to my face that gay people aren't 'natural', so that he obviously didn't like gay people" Minho explained

"Damn" Felix winced "Natural ??! How could he say that ?"

"The worst was how simple it was for him. Just like 2+2 = 4" Minho described, still terrified of this moment.

"I sincerely wonder the kind of education he had" Felix said, sighing "Not that I'm trying to find any excuses, but... yeah. So far, Jisung has been absolutely clueless about things around him, and I guess it's pretty usual for someone so isolated ..."

"Yeah... A bit too much ..."

"You know what he said to Hyunjin ?" Felix said, and watched Minho tilt his head to the side "He said his long hair was feminine, but like in a 'bad way'"

"No but he has done a few mysoginistic comments" Minho nodded along "About ladies doing chores for him, or that I cook a lot for a man"

"Was it like ... jokes ?" Felix asked

"I don't even think so, now that I think of it" Minho winced "It's completely inside of thinking. Like it's purely logical"

"Maybe it's the home-schooled education as well. Imagine being taught your whole damn life that you can't think to yourself and there's no school teacher to tell you otherwise" Felix continued.

"He was homeschooled his entire life ?" Minho asked, frowning.

"Yeah" He nodded "He didn't even know how classes worked, he was completely clueless"

"Wow, okay" Minho frowned.

"He's a christian ?" Felix asked, still shocked from his comments

"I don't think so, he said he didn't believe in god" Minho shrugged "He seems to have other kinds of beliefs, pretty sure it's more linked to his entire education and the 'town'... that seems pretty fucked up"

"Wait" Felix widened his eyes, suddenly realizing "Has he ever speak of his town to you ?"

"Pretty much every single day" Minho scoffed "If he's not talking about his mother, then he's talking about his motherfucking town" He rolled his eyes

"What did he say ?"

"Just about how stuff is different in his town" Minho shrugged, then remembered "Wait, he said conversion therapies were legal in his town... I'm pretty sure it's illegal everywhere..."

"Bro" Felix said, shaking his head.

"What ?"

"What if he's from a cult ?" Felix let out, finding it pretty rational.

Minho looked at Felix, thinking about what he had just say.

That would explain a lot of things.

Mostly the fact that the boy comes from the 1920s.

"It wouldn't even shock me"
