Chapter 12

"Okay, what Jisung did ?" Chan asked as soon as he saw Minho's tired eyes.

"... There's so much to say" Minho said, letting his head fall on the table.

"Okay, gossip time" Changbin said, putting his elbows on the table and putting his face on his hands, listening.

"Where to start ..." He sighed "I confronted him about his very homophobic and sexists comments, and it kinda went south... I yelled at him for being stupid, and I ended up cursing at him and at his family"

"Damn" Changbin widened his eyes.

"Yeah... He got mad, actually" Minho explained "He even left the dorm, and came back way later. That's when he decided to have a long conversation about how he's very weird, and he admitted a few things. We ended up understanding that his education was ... bullshit"

"What do you mean ?" Chan frowned.

"He's from a cult, most likely" He shrugged "Like really weird, abusive and shit. So he got all confused but still listened to me"

"Oh wow" Changbin let out.

"Poor boy" Chan commented.

"Then he closed up himself for the rest of the weekend, until he accepted coming out of it and having a talk. He understands it, and condamn it, but he's having a hard time dissociating his education to the things he just learnt" Minho ended explaining, sighing "It's pretty crazy"

"Bro you just entered a side quest" Changbin responded, completely shocked.

"Or maybe it's my main quest" Minho played along.

"Whatever that is, don't get too much in that shit either" Chan warned "I know you're a kind soul but it's his shit, not yours"

"I mean, yeah" He shrugged "But still, he needs some help adapting"

"And you'll keep your calm facing homophobics comments ?" Changbin narrowed his eyes at him.

"I can try" Minho said

"Mmh" Chan looked at him, unsure

"That last time, we had a long talk, and it was actually nice" Minho commented "He seemed motivated to face the real life, and he was actually a bit funny... even if it was unintentional"

"Funny ?" Changbin asked, doubtful.

"It's fun when he's confused about normal stuff" He shrugged "The little tilt of his head when he hears an expression and take it literally is pretty cute"

"Cute ?!" Chan repeated, a teasing smirk appearing on his face.

"Nevermind" Minho rolled his eyes, too tired to listen to their nonsense.

"He's done for" Changbin said to Chan, and laughed loudly when Minho tried to hit him for it.

And their bicker was brought to an end when the teacher finally entered their class.

The week passed rather smoothly, and Minho has been observing Jisung's behavior a lot.

Felix did too, and they had the opportunity to discuss it.

Jisung has been way more gloomy.

Usually, he would be always excited, his unnatural smile stuck to his lips. He would be talkative, remarks flying as soon as a thought passed through his mind.

Now, he's more discreet. He doesn't forces his smile anymore, and he doesn't seem to be very aware of the rest. In fact, he's really concentrated on the thousands of thoughts passing through his brain.
