(A/N: I used Dante Alighieri's interpreter and made up those lines; they are not entirely mine, only some of the words from it. Some part of this chapter I got help while writing it, so its credit is not entirely mine.)

'He needs to be a warlord, not just a fairy
A devil is coming, just not with beasts but with Hell.'

A note, A warning, and news came from Alicante on an old parchment scroll with Brother Enoch's seal at the bottom.

Cravens disappearing from blood forest on the same night Brocelind's fire and now a major alert coming from the holy capital is no coincident Alec took those words to heart and stormed inside his private chamber and see his fairy is standing balcony in silk robe whispering to a white small dove which is latching over his delicate fingers—the moonlight outlining Magnus's elegant body-his curves, his side profile his grace eliminating in the moonlight. Alec's heart ached for his man, his beautiful fairy who never held a knife in his hand, only paintbrushes, who would soon pick up a sword. The king needs to train his prince to be a warlord, not just win his war against fate or Killian, but to co-rule his empire with an iron chest when the time comes, not just to gain strength or power but to become one.

"My fairy got an admirer?" Alec walked to Magnus, making him blush while the small dove fluttered its wings and soared away.

"You scared him away, he was reciting poetry to me," Magnus pouted, turning towards him.

"What was he saying?" Alec extended his hand towards Magnus so he could take it and kiss that pouty mouth.

'He was born with war in his blood,
A legacy inked in black and crimson.
But when he saw her-
Draped in tradition,
Eyes full of fire and scripture-
He forgot the language of violence.
He fought not for territory now,
But for the trembling breath
She gave him without knowing.
And when the underworld demanded
He choose-
Between empire and echo,
Blood or beloved-
He wrote her name
Into the ledger of his salvation.'

King's heart ached. His hold on Magnus tightened and held him like that for a longer moment. Alec would move mountains if he had to, but he will never let Magnus go from his hold, from his heart, and from his life. Magnus looked up at him and sensed distress. Magnus kissed Alec's jaw softly. "You are awfully quiet today," Magnus whispered. Alec blinked and kissed Magnus's head, "Just got a lot on my mind." Alec slipped his hands inside Magnus's robe and felt his cold skin against his warm palm.

"It scares me when you are quiet, it means you are hurting, and I don't know why." Magnus untied Alec's robe and slipped his hands inside, circling his waist.

"I am not hurting, I am....... Terrified," for the first time in life, Alec felt tremble in his voice, a mighty warrior like him reduced to a man utterly in love.

Magnus pulled back slightly to look into his eyes, where he saw restlessness and hesitation. "Something you want to talk to me about?" Finally, Alec released Magnus and turned towards his bed, leaving him alone there, stripping off his robe completely.

"I received a scroll from brother Enoch, it was a bare warning wrapped in old parchment,...... You need to train Magnus not to fight but to protect yourself and to let me fight the battle without getting worried if you will bleed." Alec gestured for Magnus to come to bed; he did, he stripped from his robe bare just like Alec loved it, and slipped inside the sheets in Alec's arms.

"I can use daggers with efficiency, Lord Carstairs taught me while I was away in Alicante, lord Herondale taught me how to be a storm in the battlefield, Tessa taught me precision and sharpness while using weapons..I am not a completely delicate piece of glass, your majesty, I can protect myself."
