Nika Mühl - POV

It was the first day of practice after the holidays, and I was anxious to see Livie again. Although we had spent almost all our time together during the break, the separation in the last few days had been a bitter reminder of how hard it was to be away from her. After we returned from the Hamptons, Olivia spent a few more days with her parents in New York while I went to visit my sister in Indiana. I was already feeling the longing, and I could hardly wait to reunite with her and get back to our routine together.

I gently knocked on the door of the dorm room that my girlfriend shared with Inês and Lou, and after a few moments, the Portuguese girl opened the door with a sleepy smile on her face.

"Hi, Niks." Inês rubbed her eyes and looked back as if remembering who I was. "Olivia's still sleeping."

A pang of worry crossed my heart. It was typical of Olivia to stay up late studying, but I hoped she had managed to get some rest. As soon as Inês let me in, I crossed the small space of the dorm, dodging the clothes strewn across the floor and the scattered shoes.

As I approached Livie's bedroom door, a mix of curiosity and anxiety enveloped me. I pushed the door open, and the scene that unfolded before me left me speechless. The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, illuminating the room with a warm glow.
