“Baby snek do do do do do, baby snek do do do do do, baby do do do do do, baby snek!” Crowley sang to the little infant in his arms who was grinning up at him, her blue serpentine eyes gleaming.
“Heh, you like that don’t ya?” Crowley smiled, running a hand through his daughter’s silky soft curls.
“As much as I would like to keep serenading you my love, I’m afraid it’s time for your nap.” Crowley thought his chest would burst at the sight of his baby girl breaking into a yawn. “Okay, keep it up and I’ll clean out the nearest toy store.” Although to be fair, he was already half way there!
Crowley gently wrapped her in her tartan baby blanket, placed her favorite stuffed animal, Ducky, right next to her, and he planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Have a good nap my darling.”
“Is she asleep yet?” Aziraphale asked as he tiptoed into the nursery.
“Almost.” Crowley replied.
“Aw, look at her…” Aziraphale reached into the crib, stroking her cheek gently. “She looks like you, angel.” Crowley murmured.
“Nonsense, she is the spitting image of you dear boy!” Aziraphale insisted.“Well when you put it that way…”
“Have a good nap sweetheart?” Crowley asked as he lifted the infant out of her crib. “Papa is ready with for your next feeding.” The baby rubbed her face against his neck, “Aw, I missed you too.” Crowley was getting choked up.
Eden reached up and grabbed his glasses, yanking them off of his face. “You really like those huh?” Crowley chuckled as Eden chewed on them, coating the lenses in drool, her blue serpentine eyes staring up at him expectantly.
“Oh yes,” Crowley cleared his throat, “Baby snek do do do do do, baby snek do do do do do…”
Eden broke into a toothless grin as her Daddy carried her downstairs.
