“Where is my little Queenie?” Crowley said as he searched through the jungle of house plants. “I hope I find her soon…”

Crowley grinned when he heard muffled giggled from behind a tall plant. “The big mighty monster is getting very hungry…I’m going to….” He rounded the corner…

“GOBBLE YOU UP!” he cried as he grabbed the chubby little redhead.

“DADDY!” the six year old squealed with glee as Crowley blew on her tummy, Eden laughed hysterically as she squirmed free, making a break towards the back porch when suddenly, Crowley heard a loud thud, then silence.

“Eden, sweetpea, are you okay?”

He felt his heart stop when he heard crying. “Shit! Eden, sweetheart, I’m coming!”

Crowley found his little daughter lying in a heap on the kitchen floor. The demon scooped his little girl into his arms. “Queenie love, what’s wrong, are you hurt?”
Eden lifted her head and Crowley nearly lost it at the sight of Eden’s bloody lips and nose. “Shit shit shit shit shit shit!” Crowley rushed her to the bathroom….

Eden sniffled as Crowley wiped her face clean with a wash cloth soaked in warm water. “Shhh, it’s okay now love, it’s all healed up now…”
“But my mouth still hurts.” Eden whimpered.

“I’ll get an ice pack, then I’m sure a couple scoops of ice cream will make you feel all better.” Crowley smiled, hoping it would put his daughter at ease.

Crowley froze when he heard a voice call, “Crowley, Little One! I’m back with the groceries, are you two ready for dinner?”

“Shit.” Crowley swore as Eden called, “Papa!”

“Little One?” Aziraphale replied when he heard Eden call. She sounded distressed. He darted to where the precious little voice came from, the spare bathroom, which was located downstairs….

At the sight of his poor daughter sitting on the closed toilet seat, tears still spilling from her eyes, Aziraphale ran to her, scooping her into his waiting arms. “Oh my poor sweet crepe! What happened to you?” the angel said as he wiped the tears away with gentle fingers.

“I fell and hurt my mouth….and my nose…” Eden buried her face deep into the angel’s warm coat. Aziraphale shot a glare at his husband. “It was an accident angel, we were playing….”

“You play too rough Crowley!” Aziraphale snapped. “She’s still so little…”

Eden glanced up at her Papa, her blue serpentine eyes shimmering, “Please don’t be mad at Daddy, I slipped and fell in the kitchen. It was all my fault….”

Aziraphale sighed, “Right, forgive me Crowley. Eden, you must be more careful, you could have really hurt yourself! We don’t know what we would do if something were to happen to you…”

“Ow…” Eden winced, her chubby little hand flew to her mouth. Aziraphale sat her down back on the toilet.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” Crowley demanded.
Before the fathers’ could stop her, Eden shoved her fingers into her mouth, pulling out a tooth.

“I got it!” Eden declared as she showed her parents the tooth proudly.

The next thing Eden knew, she was being showered in kisses and being carried downstairs, a bowl of ice cream waiting for her.

“So the tooth fairy is going to leave a surprise under my pillow?” Eden asked as she watched her Daddy tucked a zip loc baggie, which contained her tooth, under her pillow as her Papa helped her into her nightgown.

“Yes, she’ll leave you something special, just for you.” Aziraphale said as he unclasped her tartan bow barrette.

“Why?” The angel glanced at his husband. “To celebrate how fast you’re growing up, of course!” Aziraphale’s voice cracked. It seemed like only yesterday when she was just a tiny little baby and he was holding her for the first time in his arms, with his husband at his side, hugging them both closely as they wept tears of joy.  Oh how long he waited for that moment, it had been more than worth it after the long hard battle he had endured to bring her into this world. Now she was already six years old and had just lost her first baby tooth.

“What will my surprise be?” Eden asked as her parents helped her climb into bed.

“We’ll just have to wait and see, darling. Goodnight.” Crowley whispered as he kissed Eden goodnight.

“Goodnight Little One.”

The next morning…..

Crowley and Aziraphale were fast asleep until their bedroom door swung open, “DADDY! PAPA! The tooth fairy came just like you said! I got a few quid, and some candy….”

As Eden listed the goodies and treats that had been left under her pillow, and throughout her room, her fathers’ shared a knowing smile as their daughter climbed into their bed, her arms filled with all of the treats the “tooth fairy” had brought her.
