It was Eden’s first Christmas Eve. Aziraphale and Crowley were sitting on the floor of the bookshop while Eden was crawling on the floor, traveling through the maze of presents.
She wasn’t really interested in the sparkly presents at the moment, she was searching for her Ducky.
She had Ducky since the day she was born.
Ducky was a stuffed yellow duck with a tartan bowtie and bluebuttons for eyes and black wings with white tips, which had been made by Madame Tracy and a gift at the baby shower. Fortunately, Aziraphale found Ducky for her and nudged him in his daughter’s direction.
Eden crawled to Ducky and hugged him tight.

She flapped her little wings as the first present was pushed her way, she bapped it with her little hands for awhile which made her father’s laugh. They both agreed that they let her open at least one present before their guest arrived.
They helped her open the package inside it revealed a stuffed Paddington Bear.

Eden squealed with delight and grabbed Paddington and hugged him tight.

“Happy Christmas Eden.” Aziraphale said as he scooped up Eden and her stuffed toys when the doorbell rang. Crowley went to answer it and to Eden’s delight, it was Tracy and Shadwell.

They we’re soon followed by the Them, Newt, Anathema and their own little infant daughter, Bella, who got along great with Eden. And even Warlock Dowling joined the festivities.

After the Christmas meal, she and Bella opened their gifts while the adult’s exchanged gifts.

Crowley was taking so many pictures. Eden looked so confused when the light would flash and tried to find out where it came from.

When the party was finally over, Bella and Eden we’re sleeping in a heap, using Ducky as a pillow. Ducky’s black and white tipped wings and tartan bowtie we’re damp with baby drool.
Newt gently scooped up Bella and the Pulsifer family left followed shortly by the other guests.

Aziraphale scooped up Eden and Ducky and carried them to the back room and placed them in the spare crib as Crowley cleaned up the messy bookshop with a snap of his fingers.

He and Crowley then sat on the sofa drink the rest of the wine, eventually getting hopelessly wasted, little Eden fast asleep….completely unaware of her father’s drunken antics.
