We got to the Army place in Spain and I saw John and Gail. I sighed. "Where did you guys even come from? You followed me in LA, you didn't have to follow us here." I told them. "A little town called Persistence, sweet cheeks." Gail said. "Look at this, ladies. All access passes. We're tall enough for all the rides. You can run but you cannot hide." "This d'aca'mentary is happening! We're gonna film the whole thing. We're making a beautiful d'aca'mentary." She said and they finally left.
We got to the stage area and we saw DJ Khaled. Another group was trying to start something with us. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Cynthia Rose asked. "A riff off!" Amy said. "Yes, a riff off! Yess!" Gail said. "Shut up!" I yelled. "What is a riff off?" The girl asked. "A riff off is a little game that we like to play to see who's better. We start with a topic: let's say "party songs" I said. "And then we lay down a beat." Chloe said and Lilly walked up.
"Yeah, so you guys saw what we did there, right?" Chloe asked. "It's singing." "We took the last word of the old song and matched it with the first word of the new song but you stay on tempo, keep it in the relative key."
The other group joined and they were using instruments. A-ca-scuse me? Other groups started singing together. The army people started joining too. "These people do not get the point of a riff off." I said. "Beyonce's not Jewish." Aubrey said. Chloe picked Zombie Apocalypse for a category and Evermoist started singing Zombies by the Cranberries.
"They just disqualified themselves by using musical instruments." Aubrey said. "We won, guys." She said again. "We should go." I said and we did. Gail and John had the cameras again and I flipped them off. We got to our hotel and it was really nice.
We gathered up in one of the rooms with a bunch of stuff. Amy was being an absolute mood kill.
I was getting ready and some guy approached me speaking a language. "You're English, hi." "Hi. I saw the sound check and the thing that you guys...." "The riff off. Yeah. I don't know why we keep challenging people to those. We don't ever actually win." I said and chuckled. "Oh." "So you work for the USO?" I asked. "No. I work for DJ Khaled. Sorry, I'm Theo." He said and we shook hands. "Lara Jean. Nice to meet you." I said. "How you doing?" He asked. "I'm fine. What about you?" I asked and I felt eyes just to see Flo and Cynthia Rose staring. He left. "What was that?" Cynthia Rose asked.
"That was so much eye contact. Did I just cheat on Jesse?" I asked. "What? No." Cynthia Rose said. We were on standby and watching.
and I also saw Theo just eyeballing me. Something stopped us. "Stand at attention. This is Taps." Aubrey told us.
After
We were in my room and Emily bust in the room. "All right. Ladies, pick up your tits. We're going out." She said. "Going out?" I asked. "We just sucked balls in front of DJ Khaled. He's staying at that fancy casino hotel across the street, okay? Get dressed, we go over there and we show him that we are not a joke." She said. "I can't believe that a half decent idea came out of your dumb mouth." Amy said and I kicked her stomach slightly. "Okay, let's get slutty." I said. "We'll dress slutty." Amy said and we did.
I was walking with Chloe. "There's that guy! Hide!" Chloe said pushing me by my breasts. "Ow!" I said and I looked down. "Dude, what is...What is this about?" I asked. The girls saw us. "What are you guys doing?" Aubrey asked. "Chloe grabbed my tits. I'm not a lesbian. No offense, Cynthia Rose." I said. "None taken, girl." She said. "Ain't that Mr. Eye Contact?" She asked seeing Theo. "He knows Khaled, right? We should follow him." Emily said. "Legacy. Come on." I said and we went.
We went to a room I'm guessing. "Lara Jean." Theo said coming up. "Hey. What are you doing here?" I asked. "I was waiting for you." He said and the girls gave me looks. "I don't... that's weird." "I saw you hiding behind the bushes." He said. "No. no that wasn't me. I don't think so." I said. "You guys should hang out." He said. "Twist my arm. We'll do it." I said. "I'll give you a tour." He said and we followed. I saw a bunch of bees. "Ah! What is that?" I asked. "My face?" "No. The, uh, the thing behind you." I said.
"The portable beehive that Sunburst uses to harvest natural honey." "Doesn't seem like a disaster waiting to happen." I said. "Oh, I got to show you something. You're gonna love this." He said. I followed. I gasped. "Is that an AKG C-24?" I asked. "Yes. It certainly is. Incredibly rare. Madonna, Beyonce, Joan Baez. You wanna give it a go?" He asked. "No!" I said then sat down anyway. He showed me a small beat Khaled made and I made some adjustments.
"I'll be right back. Carry on." He said and I did. "Okay." I said. I was busy minding my business and I saw a fly. I just shoo'ed it away. Stacie called Chloe and we all gathered. "Guys, I had the baby." She said and she showed. "He's so cute." Amy said. "She's a girl." Stacie corrected. "What's her name?" Aubrey asked. "Baby Fat Amy or Baby Fat Patricia." Amy said and I chuckled. "Is it Lara Jean?" I asked. "Guys. I named her Bella." She said and we gasped. "That is adorable." "I love you guys." She said. "We love you! We miss you so much!" We told her.
