Two years later, Jesse and I were living in LA as planned. We have a boy, Ethan but we call him by his middle name, Justin. He's a year old. I was running some errands and the acapella people were following me around with a camera. "Today's the day. We're getting her today." Gail said. "She's right there. I got her. All right. Got it." "They were world champions. The winningest a capella group of all time." "The Barden Bellas an unlikely group of non-men who somehow managed to win at something that didn't have to do with baking." John said and I took off my headphones. "I can hear you. You don't have anything better to do with your lives?" I asked. "You know, girlie, you're this close to being cut out of this d'aca'mentary." "So close. You're in the danger zone." Gail said.
"We have security, and I carry mace." I told them as I was walking in our building. "Stupid acapella people podcast dummies." I said as I sat down. "Hey, babe. Wait, who? Gail and John? They're cool." He spoke. "They're annoying! They were following me around with a camera." I said and he chuckled. I was making myself something to eat and Chloe walked in since she was visiting. "Hey." "Hey, Chloe." Jesse said. "Why aren't you ready?" She asked. "Ready for...?" "Our flight to New York! The Bellas reunion!" "I'm literally just hearing about this. Chlo, New York is almost 3000 miles away. I have a job and a kid." I told her. "Get a babysitter. You're going on that plane." She said and I sighed. "Jess, I'm sorry." I told him. "It's fine. Have fun in New York." He said and kissed me.
New York
I saw Stacie and the other girls. "Hey!" I said then hugging them. "What's up, pitches?!" Amy asked and we hugged her squealing too. Turns out we were invited to watch. "You've got these great jobs, right?" Emily asked and there's me getting followed around by old people. "I have one of those. Yes." I said and we all agreed. Amy punched a balloon flying fish and it was kind of funny. Other than the fact we're here in our six year old uniforms. "They're so bright and shiny." Flo said. "They look like they was all breastfed." Cynthia Rose said.
"I wanna be that young and spirited again." I said. "They all definitely have boyfriends." Chloe said crying. "Well, this just got depressing." I added. Afterwards we were at a bar. "We could just start singing right now. Lily could lay down a beat." Chloe suggested. "We already look like the B-team Bella's. I say we cut our losses." I said. Lily handed me a beer. "You guys, I am so sorry. I realized I should not have used the word reunion. I should have said it was an excuse to see each other. I'm sorry." Emily said. "You guys were great. And this was a really nice chance for us to get together. Right, ladies?" Chloe asked. We agreed. Chloe tried making a toast but over the past two years I think she just got even crazier.
"I'm having a crazy idea. I've mentioned that my dad is in the Army and basically killed Osama bin Laden right?" Aubrey asked. "Every year the USO puts on this performance to entertain and support the troops. And this year, DJ Khaled is hosting. He's got like a gazillion hit songs and he's super famous. I saw him on a tax commercial. What if I could get us an invite?" Aubrey asked. "To sing?" "No. To run military dark ops. Yes, of course to sing!" Aubrey said and we started laughing. "Who's with me?" She asked. "Hell yeah!" I said. "Well, I just got kicked out of flight school for killing 300 fake people." Cynthia Rose said. "I hate fake people." Amy said. "I hate a fake bitch!" Cynthia Rose added and I laughed. "Can you fly when you're eight months pregnant?" Stacie asked. "Look." She said then showing us her stomach and we gasped.
"That's eight months pregnant?!" I asked. "You guys didn't notice?" She asked. "Girl, I thought that was your tit." I said and they laughed. "Lara Jean, when is it your turn again?" Chloe asked. "Yes!" "Yeah, LJ!" "Another mini Jesse!" The girls said. "No! Uh, Stacie, do you know who the father is?" I asked just changing the subject. "Eh." She said but we congratulated her anyway. "Stacie's out. I guess, Emily, you're in." I told her. "For sure..Was I not always in?" She asked. "Of course!" Aubrey said and we cheered.
