Castle Town looked just like any other day. Surrounded by a large brick wall, Waddle Dee grunts patrolling every street, shops and services abandoned, and a large castle in the middle of town.
Two newly hired Grunts were lazily looking about by the front gate when a certain Dittonapper could be seen running in a straight line and panicking.
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh..." Bandee mumbled in a panic as the grunt guards let him rush through the gate.
"Hey Bandee- and he's gone. What the hell is he doing with a Ditto?" Grunt Seven pondered.
"Maybe he stole it for the Boss? Though we Grunts only stole from the citizens of this town, so I dunno why he took a Pokemon," Grunt Four stated as they looked into the distance, "Speaking of stealing... Are those... kids over there chasing after Bandee?"
"One of them looks about our age, but those two? Just a bunch of whiny twelve-year-olds-"
"Hey! Let us through!" Parasol demanded, arms crossed and eyes filled with energy.
"Now hang on Miss 'Dressed for the Weather', we've been told not to-"
Kirby threw his Poke Ball and Togepi appeared, ready for battle.
The grunts laughed at the tiny Spike Ball Pokemon.
"Look, Grunt Seven you're newer right? Deal with this kid would ya?"
Grunt Four then laid back and sat on their lawn chair.
"...Thanks for being such a good friend, Seven" Grunt Four remarked sarcastically as they threw their Poke Ball. "Venipede!" The Centipede Pokemon cried out.
Careful! Togepi's weak to poison types. Gooey signed to Kirby, who looked forward with determination.
"Thanks, Gooey, I'll be okay now," Kirby gave a command, "Togepi! Extrasensory!"
The Spike Ball Pokemon levitated the Venipede into the air, as its appearance grew distorted and glitchy. The Centipede Pokemon fell backwards and fainted from the shock.
"What the?!" Grunt Four yelped as Venipede returned to its Poke Ball.
"Woah, erm, Four? You were supposed to win," Grunt Seven sighed as they casually tossed their Pokemon out of their ball.
"Pidgey!" The Tiny Bird Pokemon cried out as it aggressively began pecking at Togepi.
"Togepi! Thunder Wave!" Kirby commanded as the Spike Ball Pokemon threw sparks at the bird, causing it to lose momentum, "Now keep using Fairy Wind!"
The Tiny Bird Pokemon was overwhelmed by the constant fairy dust and retreated to its Poke Ball.
"Wow, this is embarrassing..." Grunt Seven sighed as the guards were forced to let the trio through the gates.
Parasol Dee, Gooey and Kirby were met with a nearly deserted town. All the townhouses, stores, and apartments had their doors and windows shut.
From one of the houses, there was a little girl who accidentally let her tiny Lillipup run past her.
"Lillipup! No!" The little girl cried as she sped out of her house and embraced the Puppy Pokemon. "We have to go!-"
"Ah, so this little one's been keeping her precious pet dog from us?" A Waddle Dee grunt said as she snatched the puppy " Clearly, you're too young to train such a thing, why not let Gym Leader Dedede train it for you?"
"But that's my brother's Pokemon! Give it back you mean jerk!"
The little girl picked herself from the ground and headbutted the grunt to the ground.
