Enter, The Mayor: Peaceful Quilty Plaza 1

It was a particularly busy day for the citizens of Quilty Plaza. All the shop owners and workers cleaned up their shops to the best of their ability, knowing an influential trainer would be stopping by for the annual filming of the city.

"Can you help lift the crate of Pecha Berries?"

"No problem! So long as you help me decorate my arts and crafts store later on!"

"Got that import of Poffin treats?"

"Not yet, but I luckily have some Poke blocks from the Hoenn region for backup snacks!"

The citizens were working together to ensure nothing would go wrong.

Meanwhile, in the tallest building in the Plaza, Mayor Fluff was looking into the mirror in his office. He was sweating bullets and held his speech cards close to himself. The Mayor's Pokémon, Dubwool and Liligant, watched their trainer acting unusually anxious from the woolly couches.

They both felt miserable for him.

"Everything has to be perfect!" Mayor Fluff said as he attempted to look at his reflection with pride, "Oh, who am I kidding? Only my mother could ever pull off something this grand,"

Fluff's partner Pokémon Dubwool approached their beloved trainer and put their forehead on his trembling hand.

"Today is my second public speech... first tour... first city-wide filming to attract tourists..." Mayor Fluff nervously laughed, "On top of me also being the Quilty Plaza's Gym Leader, this is all too much,"

"Excuse me! Mayor Fluff!" Dom Woole, Fluff's top assistant, called in from the P. A system, "Great news! The citizens have finished organizing the town, and the film crew made it here unharmed! They'll be at your office shortly,"

"Thank you, Mister Woole. You are dismissed," Fluff spoke in the sternest tone he could muster.

"What's up?" Shadow Kirby said from Fluff's desk, polishing his broken shades.

"EGAD! When did you get here?! I thought you were out training again!"

"Nope, I walked in when Woole made the announcement. Want me to stick around?"

Fluff nodded in agreement and threw himself on his office table.

"I'd appreciate that very much. Sorry if this is random, but I need someone to talk to. It's been nothing but constant chores and interruption today,"

"You've been hella busy for the past month and a half planning out everything. After the festival, you should consider taking a short break,"

"I'll try to book something with Dom Woole-"

"Mister Mayor! We're here for the interview!" One of the filming crew members called out from the hallway, "Could you let us in?"

SK. and Fluff looked at each other and sighed, knowing the day ahead would be a busy one.

Meanwhile, the trio of trainers were hanging around Quilty Plaza's bustling downtown.

Wow, we're on time for the Plaza's most important time of year!

Gooey tapped away on his phone and displayed a news article.

"Oh! This is the time of year when Quilty Plaza's Mayor hosts a live stream and goes around the entire city!" Parasol laughed as her Castform barked with excitement, "You know, maybe we should participate in that annual battle against the Mayor!"

Maybe! It'd be the fastest way for Kirby to earn their next gym badge and-

Gooey immediately stopped signing as he caught a glimpse of the Mayor in the distance.
