Formidable Challenger: The Final Two Gym Leaders 2

Meta Knight and Kirby were on even playing fields, opposing forces were determined to not back down from victory.

"Go! Aegislash!"

"Gastrodon, let's go!"

The Sea Slug Pokémon recognized Meta Knight and nodded her head, insisting she was a much stronger fighter than before. Marmalade's Gym Leader nodded back, hoping to see Gastrodon's potential.

To move at a faster pace, Aegislash in its Blade Form, used Automatize, temporarily shedding its heavy metal coat.

Gastrodon wasn't going to let the Royal Sword Pokémon have its fun and used Substitute. A little plush toy of Gastrodon appeared as the real Sea Slug was hiding.

The Royal Sword Pokémon used Slash, but it wasn't enough to break the plush toy. Gastrodon reappeared from behind the plush and went for a hard hitting Bulldoze. Aegislash's speed dropped but was still considerably more nimble than Gastrodon's.

"Use Slash one more time!"

Gastrodon's plush toy broke, but the Sea Slug used Dig to hide out. Aegislash used King's Shield to protect itself.

"Gastrodon! Don't hit Aegislash with Dig! If you do, your attack will be much weaker!"

The Sea Slug followed Kirby's orders and used Chilling Water as a throwaway move. Aegislash was now in its Shield Stance, meaning it was on the defence and had poor attack stats. In an instant, Gastrodon knew to use Bulldoze again to worsen the Royal Sword Pokemon's speed.

"Use Aerial Ace. Aegislash!"

"Protect!"

Gastrodon put up a barrier to deflect the Aerial Ace and used a super-effective Stomping Tantrum, which was enough to send the Royal Sword Pokémon out of the battle.

"Round three goes to Kirby! Round four starts... NOW!"

"Samurott!"

"...Togekiss!"

Kirby was dead set to pass the Gym Challenge with three wins and Togekiss wasn't going to let her trainer down. She started the round-off with a high-damaging Aura Sphere.

Samurott countered with Smart Strike, slicing the Aura Sphere attack in half. The Jubilee Pokémon opposed the attack with Protect and gracefully hovered in the air. She used Sunny Day to weaken Samurott's water attacks and as a reliable way to heal with Morning Sun.

The Formidable Pokémon scowled at the set-up, using Swords Dance as it intensely eyed Togekiss. The Jubilee Pokémon used Solar Beam and hit Samurott directly in the head.

Togekiss followed up with a Metronome as she watched Samurott struggle to keep its eyes open.

Metronome... Metronome... Metronome...

Horn Leech!

Two grassy horns formed upon Togekiss' forehead as she tackled Samurott to the ground. She drained the remainder of the Formidable Pokémon's energy, thus giving Kirby three wins.

Meta Knight looked at Kirby with his shocked, yellow pair of eyes.

This is the same kid whose three Pokémon couldn't beat one Doublade? What a turnaround!

"Samurott is unable to fight! The challenger, Kirby, won three of five rounds! Thus, he is the winner of this League Battle!" Sailor announced with their whole chest, "... The kid actually beat Sir Meta Knight?"

Parasol, Gooey and Ribbon shot up from their seats and cheered Kirby on.

"Now that was some fight, you are a force to be reckoned with, Kirby!" Parasol grinned.
