The Crowned Engineer of the Battle Frontier looked out his window and witnessed the sky turn a sludge purple.
"I-What?-But! How?! How did those thieves get that gem!? They were supposed to get caught by security! We were supposed to watch them get arrested and laugh at them together as we watched the TV..." Magolor put his shaky hands to his head, "...Marx, we need to fix this immediately! Meet me at Noir Terminus!"
"Right! We were supposed to rule the World, not destroy it!"
Magolor hung up the phone and rushed outside.
"AND WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?"
A voice boomed across the hallway.
Magolor slowly turned his head and saw his boss Leongar standing behind him, wearing orange armour, arms crossed and looking unimpressed.
"A-ah, Mister Leongar! D-Did y-you-"
"YES, MAGOLOR. I DID SEE THE CHANGE. AS HEAD OF THE BATTLE FRONTIER, I AM SENDING YOU AND ADELEINE TO INVESTIGATE WHAT WENT WRONG WITH THE SKY. DON'T FAIL THE REGION'S WELL-BEING, YOU TWO,"
"Come on, let's kick some butt, Magolor!" The Artist shouted with determination.
Yes, and while on the way out, I'll kick my own butt for looking like a snivelling fool in front of my Boss, Magolor grumbled to himself.

Meanwhile, at the Elite Four Palace, Claycia and Taranza peeked out of Keeby's high-as-sky-stadium with sheer anxiety.
"Ohhhhh, this is baaaaaad!" Keeby shouted from his throne, "Heeeeey! You two finally made it here! Spider! Claycia! Have you two seen Galacta?"
"... No, neither of us haven't seen him," Claycia gloomily remarked and turned to Taranza, "Pst, you go solve the issue. Keeby and I will defend the League in case things go even more south,"
The spider hesitated but agreed to go.
"I suppose I am the strongest one here. I'll take charge and investigate this mystery!" Taranza climbed from his tower and swung on Galvantula's string toward the ground, "I bid you two, adieu!"
"Be carefuuuuul!" Keeby waved.
"Good. If you'll excuse me, I need the Gym Leaders to get involved..."
...
Claycia received a call from Landia and was urged to make a proper broadcast.
"The gemstone was stolen?! I'll go live with the news-"
Across the region, Claycia was broadcasted from the Pokémon League's computer room, with the help of the staff anxiously awaiting the news.
"3...2...1! We're live... Now!" A staff member exclaimed.
"Citizens of Popstar! This is not a drill! I repeat, this is not a drill!"
All the TV stations, cellphones, and online websites in the region broadcasted the signal.
"The Popstar Region is in active danger, and we need every citizen to pay attention! Gym Leaders Meta Knight and Dedede will be investigating the incident. Every other Gym Leader must defend Landia's museum in the Arid Dunes! Elite Four Member Taranza has been sent as a backup, along with Magolor and Adeleline of the Battle Frontier. Everyone else, please remain indoors until further notice!"
