Sailor Dee was walking down the streets of Marmalade Beaches one morning on their way to Meta Knight's base. It had been a week since Haltmann's attempt to take over the city, and many people were still cleaning up the metal scraps from the streets.
The youthful sailor looked up at the TV screens for information regarding the upcoming week's weather. Instead, there was a report regarding Susanna, where she was officially imprisoned for her numerous crimes. Live footage of her court case played as the citizens shivered at her apathetic expression.
'Oh, finally, that horrible witch won't be seeing the light of day for a long while,' Sailor Dee thought as they sneaked into a garbage chute, 'Last time I saw her, I nearly got electrocuted by her laser blaster!'
The young Sailor Dee arrived at the underground base and immediately got to work.
"Hey, Sailor!" Javelin Knight hollered out, "Out training again?"
"You betcha! I've been letting Kirby train with me for the past week,"
"Kirby? That's nice of you to train them! Heard they lost badly against Sir Meta Knight,"
"You bet they did, so their friends and I trained him well enough to take on another Gym Leader,"
"Oh, the kid's not coming back for a rematch?"
"Nope, not yet. Kirby said they needed to keep searching for someone and didn't want to stay in Marmalade for more than a week. I suggested Skyline Carnivals next cause Clawroline can give the kid a fair fight,"
"Alright then," Javelin Knight nodded, "So, got any new orders from Sir Meta Knight?-"
"Actually, crew, I do have an objective for all of you,"
Marmalade Beaches' Gym Leader entered the break room in a strut. Sailor Dee, Javelin and Axe Knight all gave a salute and formed a line.
"Crew, we have a serious ordeal here. Pay close attention to my instructions," Meta Knight looked down for a moment, seeming uneasy, "Sir Galacta Knight of the Elite Four is going around Popstar challenging the Gym Leaders. He's looking to further prove his strength,"
The crew gasped and became just as worried as Meta Knight.
"Your job is to remain silent when he's around and dare not to look him in the eye. Captain Vul will give a brief greeting and escort him down to the arena. Keep each other safe at all times around that egotistical trainer,"
The crew presented a coordinated salute as the Gym Leader headed toward the stadium.
"Why's Galacta challenging every Gym Leader right now?" Sailor Dee asked, "Doesn't the Elite Four council wait until autumn to host an official tournament?"
"It's because that ego-tripping jackwagon's trying to intimidate the missing Champion! Remember, Galacta and Meta were both aiming for Champion rank years ago. Now that pink jerk is trying to make a statement of sorts," Vul huffed.
"Right. I guess that means-"
The crew immediately felt a wave of anxiety rush over them as the front doors swung open with incredible force.
"META KNIGHT!"
The entire Meta Knight crew gathered at the front of the underground base and saluted Galacta Knight.
"E-Elite Four Member Galacta!" Vul greeted with no eye contact, "Sir Meta Knight is down the hall-"
"I am already aware of that,"
