"Kirby... Kirby..."

Morpho called out to their child who was playing in the rain.

"Kirby, please don't play outside in those clothes. You're going to catch a cold without your umbrella!"

The young child sighed as their guardian held out a large umbrella.

"I won't get sick! Remember what happened last time I played in the rain? I was completely fine!"

"I'd rather not risk you getting a nasty cold, Kirby. Now, go on and play with your umbrella. I'll be making soup for later,"

"Soup? Awe, again?"

"Well, I did buy a lot of ingredients, I have to make use of them!" Morpho turned to the wild Flowering Pokemon they befriended, "Liligant here grows our crops extremely well, wouldn't you say?"

Kirby impatiently huffed but agreed with their parent.

"You're right...But I still don't like soup-"

"Hey, Kirby!" Parasol called out, "Sailor, Bandee and Gooey are at the park! Wanna join?"

The young child gasped with excitement and ran off, eager to hang out with the triplets and his best friend.

Morpho watched their young child run off as the skies began to clear. Despite the sunshine peeking through the clouds, they couldn't shake the feeling of dread.

"Hey, Kirby!"

Parasol, in the present time, called out.

The trio of trainers walked out of the Pokemon Centre they were staying at, looked up at the rainy skies, and brought out their umbrellas. Ripple City was experiencing sun showers that created beautiful, mystical scenery. The fog was clearing up, and the orange morning skies reflected on the crystal buildings with majesty.

"...Oh wow, I know we've only been here for a week, but this city is even prettier than Palatial Town!" Parasol gasped in awe.

I agree. At least Ripple Woods doesn't smell like strong perfume.

Kirby remained silent with a smile on their face.

"Kirby? What's up?"

"Huh? Nothing really. I was remembering something from a long time ago... Let's practice one more time before my next gym battle?"

Sure thing! I think one more battle can improve your Pokemon's skills!

The three trainers walked down the street to a small outdoor arena by the city's entrance through the woods. Ribbon sat on a wooden bench with her partner Pokemon Floette, enjoying the beautiful view underneath the Apricorn tree.

"Oh hey! You guys are here for a battle?" Ribbon asked.

"That's right. It's the last one before Kirby challenges Q.Ripple!" Parasol smiled with determination, "Say, Gooey?"

Yeah?

"How about we team up against Kirby?"

Oh, that's a good idea! We've been taking turns battling most of the time. So teaming would be amusing! What do you think, Kirby?

"Sounds like a fun idea! Let's go!" Kirby threw out his two Pokemon, "Altaria! Togetic!"

Kirby's flying Pokemon hopped onto the battlefield, looked at each other, and began giggling.
