Thanksgiving
Tierra POV
Taj and I came to my moms first this year to eat here with the kids then we'd be going to his family's dinner.
We greeted everyone and then I went to the kitchen. I had a few dishes to make so I brought what I made and put it in the kitchen.
I looked at Mika and my mom and I could tell there was something that they weren't saying.
"What" I asked.
"I see Titan is wearing your dads old chain" my mom said.
I nodded grabbing a water.
"I heard y'all back in contact" I said to her.
"Chile I just said hey to that man and that's it" my mom waved me off.
Her and my dad were barely together before he got locked up. Growing up I was told they were madly in love but my dad being in the game broke them up.
I nodded and looked at Mika and she looked guilty.
"I was gonna tell you that I talk to him but I didn't want you to be mad at me" she said.
"Why would I be mad at you. He's your dad too and you deserve to get to know him. It would've been nice to know rather than me finding out through my 7 year old" I said.
"I'm sorry" Mika said poking her bottom lip out as she held her arms open.
She was standing at the table snapping peas.
I rolled my eyes.
"There's nothing for you to be sorry for" I said hugging her.
After we hugged she went back to snapping peas.
"You spoke to your brother about it. He's been in contact since your dad was locked up. I guess they stayed connected even while he was inside" my mom said.
"I don't think he knows I know so we haven't spoken yet" I said.
"What up" Ty said walking in.
"Speaking of the devil" Mika said
Ty looked confused.
"G you wanna explain where Titan got that chain from" I asked him.
His face changed from a smile to a straight face and he ain't even ask what chain because he already knew.
"I told him about Pops and Granny. Them his peoples too and he was asking shit so I told him a few stories and I let him talk to him" he said.
"What stories" I asked.
"Nothing crazy he still a shorty" Ty said.
"When he was asking questions why you ain't say shit to me, he's my son and you know I don't talk to daddy so why would you go behind my back and introduce him to my son" I said raising my voice.
"G that's his fucking peoples I just told yo ass" he said.
"Nigga don't talk to me like that. When it comes to my kids you run shit by me first" I said.
He made a face and looked at me.
"Tierra don't let that Queen shit get you fucked up, I'm yo big brother all I did was tell my nephew about his folks" he said.
"He's the same people-" I stopped.
"You know what let me go" I said.
"Nah G go head the same people what. G I know I'm the reason them people ran up in Granny house and the same reason why dad doing that bid. But you know what I take accountability for my shit. How about you" he said looking at me.
