In the halls of the Agna Qel'a
Every important member of the council took their seats. As hakoda tooked his seat at the far edge of the table. Some them sneered at the thought of a southerner among them in their hall. But that was kept to themselves. As the looming blue dragon with electric blue eyes stared down at them. With strength and power radiating off it's presence.

Besides it, was the spirit with the crimson mask. Who sat in a meditative posture with it's back against the dragon. While most men would trembled at the pressence of a dragon or spirit. Hakoda felt empowered, because as shoto pointed when a dragon and spirit back you, they will hear your voice. Many of the man were nervous looking at the dragon hoping it didn't like the taste of human flesh.

"Shall we began men." Arnook said breaking the silence. "Yes we shall, Arnook. Let's start this from the beginning shall we ? By now most of you are familiarised by what will happen within a 3 to 4 day time. But for those of you who aren't, here's a summary." Hakoda said then took a deep breathe.

"Admiral zhao of the firenation brings forth with him. An armda of ships loaded with weapons and soldiers to wipe this tribe straight out of the face of the world." Hakoda said blunt as mace. In that moment the southern watertribe chief watched as all the mens face filled with dread, anxiety and look of hopelessness.

Long ago he might've pitied them but now he just watched panic and hysteria creeping with an indifferent look. The battles and warfare changed him. To him before he would've be devasted but now when he was used to receiving news of losses of defeats. He just accepted without resistance.

"Men tighten up, we have dealt with the ashmakers before. We will succeed once more as we always have." One of the council members utoq was it said. "I am not certain of that utoq." Hakoda told simply. "And why is that Hakoda ?" The man asked with a tone of anger and fear. "While you had you're victories and made the firenation retreat with tails in-between in their legs." Hakoda said, utoq chest swelled in pride. "Which we will do again." Utoq said with confidence. "Inversely they began learning adapting and finding out exploitable weakness." Hakoda finished.

"So what we'll beat them again ?" Utoq said trying to raise moral. "Not when they out number your warriors 7:1. They have greater numbers benders then you have. And if that's wasn't enough." Hakoda said as slid the document at arnook.

Who took it and began reading it's contents. His eyes widden in horror as he passed to another member of the council. "They have more toys to play with." Hakoda said eerily. "So what they have more swords and axes so what ? That amounts to nothing in the battlefield." Utoq said. That's when the file was passed to him. As read it's contents, his blood began freeze by the moment.

"They are not axes or swords. No no they are more advanced than that, to make a complex thought simple. Imagine the catapults now imagine them without having to reload them, rather instantaneous reloaded, with miles wide radius and devastating capable of demolishing entire buildings in one blast." Hakoda said evenly. "You're strategies of close quarters combats means nothing to an enemy that can decimate you from miles away. I never knew much of water bending but I know this much. Bending as battle strategy only works in close quaters. Increase the distance and the gap the less effective it becomes. You have no way to land a crushing blow on the naval fleet." Hakoda explained as the room filled with debate and arguments.

Arnook(pov)
The chief of the northern watertribe just sat by as his council broke apart in hysteria and fear. Some of the men looked to be praying to the spirits for help others were speaking incoherently at the face of impending disaster. He was afraid to, the fire breathing spawns have set their sights here.

They don't even need the benders not when they could decimate the entire city within a push of a button. 'La, tui and great ancestors past lend you're strength and wisdom.' He prayed. 'Curse that wretched ruler of the ashmakers. There has to be something that can be done.' Arnook thought as looked at Hakoda. Then saw the spirit in a meditative posture. That's when intrusive thoight struck. Where were the other two spirits ?
