A glass shatters against the floor and the broken pieces scattered around the room. Zhao looked at the broken shards in anger and seething hatred. At the humiliation, disrespect and ofcourse the constant losses, ever since he managed to find the avatar south pole. He thought a few struggles and maybe a few losses of soldiers before capturing the airbending dirt bag. And then he would present the avatar to the firelord and be declared a hero to the nation.

And that would've come to pass weren't for those spirits foiling his schemes at every turn. From the beginning of these whole mission he has been kept away from his prize by that dammed la shen and those red and blue clowns of his. Had it not been for them ? He would've been a general of the war council by now. The worst fact was he couldn't do anything meaningful to la shen. From what he unburied about that particular avatar made his jaw drop.

He wasn't just any avatar, no no he was also the firelord 5000 years past. And with feats of power that would make even avatar kyoshi blush. Such as stopping 3 tsunamis all in one day, fighting massive leviathans of the abyss and of course his most infamous feat inventing and mastering the soul fire, rumoured to grant to immortality to it's users.

That made him even more enraged if fighting an avatar was impossible enough, he had support from the one avatar that even surpassed that of kyoshi. Zhao in rage grabbed his diary and slammed it against the wall. Which hit a portrait on the wall breaking it's glass and causing it fall with it. Zhao grunted, as he marched to the broken portrait. He was about to call a soldier and force him to clean it up.

He took both of the pictures and held them side to side each other. And his eyes widden as both of the similarities were revealed.

He broke the drawer of his desk and used it as a makeshift conspiracy board. He pinned the two images on it, and began tearing bending scrolls that were published by prince shoto. As he pinned, them on the board. He then took the pages from his journal regarding spirit blessed, la shen and other documents pinning them to the board.

He then sat down looking in silent revelation from what he discovered. But that's not all, from first hand witnesses, it had been reported that la shen had either blue of black eyes. But what if they both were true ?

What if la shen had a case of heterochromia, a dieases that resulted in two different colour eyes. It just so happens that the crown prince shoto also had a case of heterochromia. That's not all either, no no from what recalled from the Agni's kai the prince took part in. He always had a fluid motion of bending one that closely resembled waterbending.

That leads to another problem and a direct contradiction to his discovery. And that was la shen's duel bending power. Time and time again, la shen bended water and fire as they were servants to him. For his theory's to be correct, there needs to be way to answer that problem. Zhao began analysing, writing down, comparing scrolls. He was adamant on not leaving anything behind as irrelevant. After much theorising, he reached a two different verdicts.

The first one was that, during the time that the avatar was submerged within the iceberg. He must have momentarily died. Which prompted the spirit of it look for a new host. Maybe the transition process was cut off since the airbender didn't fully die. Zhao dismissed this one, on the fact that during the battles on his old master jeong jeongs camp, he saw the boy bending water. And the fact the next avatar after the airbender would be waterbender not a firebender made contradiction to his theory.
