Chapter 23 Consequences of the past

It had been four days since they landed in the northern watertribe. He thought that coming here would be a great opportunity. It's not everyday, that someone gets visit an entire city made of ice and filled with waterbenders. The initial day in which they had been welcomed was probably, was his first sign to how bad this entire stay was going to be. After the initial shock had been subsided, they warmly welcome them with a celebration and a feast.

'Look he loved to eat and stuff his face until his jaw hurt. But after having a handful of food and meat from their feast. It made him abit disappoint. Some of the meats were undercooked or just was far to tough to bite off easily. Much different from Shoto's cooking. The rest of the dishes were a mix mash of flavors that just didn't work. Look he's not some professional chief like shoto was, but even he can tell when the food was terrible.' He thought to himself.

The name shoto, he didn't realise how much he missed the person that name belonged to. As each passing day went by, he began to miss him more and more. At first he tired to hide that fact by focusing on getting the princess of the northern watertribe to notice him. He wanted to impress her by showing his skill with his sword. So he fought against a few of the non-bending fighters. And won with such ease that he considered the man was holding back so that he can impress yue.

But who was he to complain, it did it's job and now he suddenly had managed to peak yue's interest. Which lead him to have a conversation with her. He later thanked the man for going easy on him so that he can impress her. But to his shock claimed no such thing, infact he was giving his all to keep his ground with him. Sokka just played it off as him getting lucky. That should been the second sign. But whatever, he managed to make the princess interested so that's what really mattered.

Until when she told that she couldn't be in a relationship with him. Seeing how she was betrothed to someone else. And that someone else was none other then Hahn aka the biggest sexist that ever lived. Every moment he talked, he wanted break that cunt's balls. And worst of all, he couldn't do anything about it. Load as he admit it, he just didn't have any connections like Hahn's family did.

And besides the ways on which he treated yue is what made him angry the most. Look he wasn't gonna be a hypocrite and say that he himself didn't have misogynistic views or rather had them. But at least, he didn't treat women like they were objects like the way he did.

'Is this what katara had to go through ?' He couldn't help but compare, how her reactions were actually justified. 'Great la is this what she has to go through every day ? Continuing being belittle for things out of her control and being treated as an object rather then a person.' Sokka couldn't help but looked disappointed at his own revelation. He then left from his room and decided he needed some fresh air to breath.

Meanwhile somewhere in the northern oceans.
The scene begans with a view of a storm over the waves. Thunder and lightning roared in symphony. As massive waves crashed and broke into each other. As whirlpool and tornados were seen down beneat the storm.

The scenes shifts once more to the eye of the storm. Which revealed a massive dragon with wings that dwarfed entire ships. It was abysal blue like the oceans itself and with a crown of 6 horns. It was a fearsome beast. With lightning and thunder following it like an obedient dog. On neck were four figuers. The first were black armour with red and blue masks. While the last two were the former prince of the firenation and the only dual bender. While Hakoda the chief of the southern watertribe sat in last.

"There up ahead." Shoto pointed. All three look in that direction and found naval armda of the firenation approaching. "Lala set us on the seastack over there." Shoto told his younger sibling. And she obeyed, she made her dragon land in swift grace on the sea stack. As both shoto and zuko disguised as the blue spirit landed on it. Shoto took a moment to feel the waves inorder to sense the speed of the ships.
