Joker woke up the next morning curled up into a ball, shivering under his bedcovers.
He never told Harley what had happened when he had gone out to get her and Ivy some coffee, but she probably guessed that something had gone down by the way his purple suit was just wet and crumpled in his laundry basket.

He didn't want to get out of bed, the shower barely helped and he still felt disgusting.
Joker had cried himself to sleep after it happened, and he expected that his eyes were red and puffy.
Suddenly the phone ok his nightstand rang, jolting Joker out of his thoughts.

"Hello!" He said in his happiest voice, incase it was Batman calling.
"Jack, I'm at the tent door... do you mind if I come in?" A cold, slightly nasally voice asked politely.

Joker grumbled.
"Sure Ozzie... give me a second."
His happy voice faded as he hung up the call and went into the bathroom to get ready for Penguin.

After a couple of minutes, Joker gave up on even getting dressed, he just stayed in his purple plaid pajama pants and his t-shirt with the Bat signal on it.
And of course, he put on his clown makeup.
As he headed downstairs, he spotted Harley letting Penguin inside.

"Hey Oswald." Joker smiled for him.
"Hi!" Grinned Penguin, looking up at him as Joker came down the stairs. "Did you get in a fight?" The chubby man asked, actually rather innocently.

"Yeah, let's call it that." Joker reached the bottom floor, grabbing a mug from the counter and beginning to make tea. "Want some tea?"
Harley went into her bedroom, probably to call Ivy.

"Sure." Penguin said, sitting on the couch. "Can I stay here for a couple weeks? Batman found my iceberg."

"Okay," Joker said, smiling a bit. He began boiling water for the tea. "I've got extra clothes you can wear, if they fit."

"I hope they do, because I'm a little vertically challenged." Penguin admitted.

Joker threw his head back and laughed.
"You can sleep in the hall of mirrors, that's where Nygma did. Or, you could sleep in my room. I have a Murphy bed tucked in my wall."

"I'll take the Murphy, please. I don't like my reflection." Oswald said politely.
"Very well then," Joker imitated Penguin's slightly accented, posh tone. "you shall have the Murphy, you little whippersnapper!"
He lunged at defenseless Penguin and grabbed his sides, tickling him.

Penguin shrieked and laughed his little giggle as Joker did whatever he could in his power to bring Penguin some joy.
The Joker continued tickling him until Penguin almost ran out of air, weakly hitting him with his fist.

"Stop.. stop!" Penguin gasped.
Joker laughed.
"Loosen up, Ozzie, it's okay." Joker said, turning off the tea kettle as Penguin gasped for air. "Whatever you're afraid of can't get you here."

He turned around with a cup of hot tea for Oswald, who smiled at him.
"Thank you, Joker. You're the best big brother ever."

Joker smiled back at him.
"I know I am, Ozzie."

He felt one of his cuts on his cheek rip open and bleed again, probably from smiling.
Joker turned away, wiping his cheek, to ensure Oswald didn't see him bleeding.

"Y'know, I think you're my favorite person in the world." Penguin mumbled from behind the couch. "I never had somebody like you."
Joker held his cheek, hoping the light bleeding would stop.
"You're one of my favorites too, Oswald. You mean everything to me." Joker said in a happy tone, trying to keep Penguin from seeing his face.

Joker pulled his finger back and realized the bleeding had stopped. He turned back around, sipping his tea.
"Come upstairs, I'll find something nice for you to wear if we go somewhere today." Joker said, and Penguin stood up. "If my size doesn't fit you, I'll go rob a clothing store."
