A dip of the past

Silence. That's what you'll hear between the two witchmates standing in the bar they've been kicked out from. Tetsuya wonders what's their intention for doing this to them, whatever it is, he will never know.

He exhales, accepting his fate.

He can't say the same for the person beside him though.

Tetsuya glanced at the police officer, who's standing stiffly and spaced out. The scenes haven't registered in the storm witch's head as it seems.

Tetsuya wore the cloak he's holding, flipping it in a way that's enough to startle the officer out of stance. "I'm sorry for that" Tetsuya apologizes for no reason, "I can walk myself home so you can go back to your work."

The taller man just blinked at him, should he? Yeah he can easily avoid this situation by going back, "I planned to–" he promptly lied before it struck him,

His shift is already over.

Daiki curses under his breath, he shouldn't have asked for an early out. He should've just let Imayoshi pick Momoi up. "--nevermind, my shift is already over."

"Oh" Tetsuya responded, "Are you heading home?"

"Supposedly." Daiki deadpanned.

Tetsuya looked around for a moment, before coming up with an idea of "I'll roam around the town then."

Daiki halts at his suggestion, he caught on to him not wanting to walk with him so he's suggesting that he goes the other way in order to not walk with him.

"Yeah, you go do that." Daiki nods, swiftly turning to the way home.

But then he stopped when Tetsuya asked a question

"One last thing, what's the way back to the house?"

Daiki faced him, "You don't know?"

Tetsuya shrugged, "I thought I memorized it along the way here, but when I tried recalling it, I forgot." The male said so casually.

This boy—

Daiki doesn't know what makes him agitate whenever he's with the boy. This man is irritably blunt and clueless.

Daiki roughly scratched his hair, "Ah forget it." He groaned, making the boy in front of him tilt his head in confusion. "How can you be so stupid? You should've minded your surroundings while walking here"

"Excuse me?"

"I'm telling you to walk with me back home! Seriously, you're going to get lost one day" For unknown reason, Daiki is here grumbling about things. Tetsuya can't really figure out why.

Nonetheless he followed him from behind. At the same time he observed the police officer, his posture was relaxed, not tense but he could tell that he was being cautious.

The night is lively as always. Lights here and there, people walking in every direction. He'll never get tired of watching the night as it passes through him.

Despite the loud surroundings, the two walk in silence. Tetsuya loses himself in watching the town.

All while Daiki focused on the way home, also glancing at the male behind from time to time. Daiki thought that something was wrong, and he was right. He can't help but be wary of the male because he can't sense his energy.

He doesn't know if the male is hiding it from him or if it's because of his witchcraft. Even earlier, if it hadn't been for Imayoshi calling him, he wouldn't see him or know that he's there.

He didn't even know he's back to working.

Because of the contractual vow, Daiki just shrugged the suspicion of him being a danger to them. The vow said "If either of the two parties brought danger purposely to one another, then the vow must take action on their magic."
